2016 "Intentions" Mini Album Project Idea

Every year - we sit down and do New Years Resolutions...except me, I do "intentions" - things I intend to change or do this next year!  This year, I decided to do a mini album, documenting the things I wish to do - with a way to keep track of how I do end up with my "intentions"!  THIS year, I wanted it documented, so a mini album project I did! Supply list: 6 x 12 sheet of cardstock for the base Coordinating cardstock and patterned papers (I used Colorbok Sweet Blossom pack) 2 sheets of white 8.5 x 11 cardstock for the inside pages Ribbon Cricut cartidge's - Ashlyn's Alphabet, George and Basic Shapes Sizzix die cuts - tag, heart, flower Punch's - sun, flower, border punch, corner punch Number stickers Silver alpha letters Bling Paper flowers Black fine tip marker Hole punch For me, the whole project starts with the papers I select...  Once I have that part done, I can look at what I have at home and available to me to create what I ...

Mini Album - Part 2

Front Cover I really love how this album turned out, and is up for sale here !  Since you picked out your supplies in the last post, lets get started today in getting everything ready to go for your album!  Each album done will be different, simply because of the pictures you end up working with, and the supplies you use!   Step one:  Out of the papers you have selected, choose one that will be for your front and back cover.  Cut the 12 x 12 sheet of paper/cardstock in half.  Fold in half - set aside! Interactive feature Step two:  Take the 8.5 x 11 sheets of cardstock, trim to 5 3/4" x 11 - fold each piece in half, add to the inside of the cover - one inside the other!  Step three:  Decide how many photos you want to use in your album, the more photos you are using, the more interactive features you might want to add to the album.  The green piece on the front cover actually flips up giving you more room for other photos ...

Mini Album Challenge -

I'm not sure about you guys - but one thing about me...I really love to create!  It doesn't matter if I am creating for my own personal use, or if I am creating for someone else, I love to create!  I used it for therapy, so if you are stressed out - then it's a cheap way to get some help!  DISCLAIMER:  I would never tell you to NOT get therapy if you are dealing with issues in your life...I will tell you to use this along WITH therapy!    When you create unique projects - it all starts with the paper, adding the embellishments as you go!  If you add more paper to the project, you can use them for embellishments and photo matt's for your scrapbook projects!  The leftovers are what you can use to create fun cards, bookmarks, and embellishments for you to use later on!   This mini album shown here - was done with the supplies listed below...the rest of the papers I have left over, are going to be used for cards and bookmarks for sure! ...

More Mini Albums - With A Challenge

Next to my 6 x 6 albums I make, I love to create paper bag albums!  I won't give you the directions - it is simply best to go to this link - where you will find a series of 5 video's you can watch to create your own!  (This is the first video, you will need to look for the others from here!)  I actually use lunch sacks for my albums - to create a bigger album; you can use the sacks she does, which are smaller in size than what I use...keep that in mind as you are creating your album! For me - since I do use larger bags than what she uses in the example - I have had to do my own measurements instead!  If you choose to purchase the bags, then just make sure you pick the correct ones - lunch bags just make it easier for me, you can pick them up at any grocery store!  Here are some of the albums I have made in the past little while:    Each are different, yet made the same!  One of my favorite album styles, after the 6 x 6 albums...

Valentines Day -

Happy Valentines Day!!!  Okay ya'll should know by now, I procrastinate...I am so much like my mother and that is one trait she has that I ended up with...  I have a project 75% completed...why haven't I spent the time to get it finished up???  LOL, simple - I'm more like my mom than I want to be!  This year - is all about finishing up those past projects - and showcase them!   I have been with my husband for 15 years this May - married for 11 years now!  He has been my "knight in shining armor", my rock, the love of my life.  He is the person who makes me into a better person...and the one who makes me want to tear my hair out at times (and me him for sure)!!!   This is my mostly finished up - He Said/She Said album...  All I need to do is finish it up with the journaling and put it together!  Then I think of the journaling that will finish up the album - thoughts to the music we listen to - our families...movies we like, what we ...

Being A Mom Mini Album Project Idea -

Being a mom...probably the hardest "job" I have ever had in my life , and the one I failed the most at!!!  Don't get me wrong, I love my kids more than anything in the world...and blending kids - well, don't even get me started on that subject...it's a touchy one for me! So, like everything I end up doing - I created an album with my favorite photos and journaling of my kids - and my darling step-daughter and her family, more to get my thoughts out about being a mom in the first place!  The photos are great, but it's the journaling that truly makes this album perfect! My oldest son was born 3.5 weeks early, his lungs weren't fully developed when he was born.  Being a single mom, this was hard to watch your baby struggle - spending 9 more days in the hospital after he was born.   After that, I met and married my first husband, and had 2 more kids with him... My only daughter, and another son, this time born almost 6 weeks early but okay health wise.  Afte...
