Easter mini album - day two

If you missed yesterday's post, then make sure you scroll down to see the first part of the album you will see here on today's post.  By the end of the album, you will have complete directions on how to make this fun album, and how to do each particular set of pages!  So, lets get started in showcasing this fun album, using different techniques in both stamping and scrapbooking to create it!           Each set of pages are made with a different technique, but the egg shape is what ties it all together.  Most of the pages do not even have a saying or title on them - but you know it is an Easter album just by the front cover and embellishments, so no need to have a title on each set of pages!  For the page at the very top, I used a bunny stamp, an oval template, created my own type of embellishment and added a simple purple tag to match the layout.  I wanted to decide if I was adding a photo to each of the pages...

Which came first - now my story!

Terra, Del, me and Casey at his graduation 2011       I will start by saying thank you to everyone for the continued support for Memories in Tyme.  A lot has gone on since I started this blog almost 3 years ago, of which I never thought it would go this far!  Scrapbooking and Memories kept me alive after a really horrible time in my life...so lets get started with my story!   If you missed the blog hop a few days ago, just scroll down and you will get the whole hop!  Make sure to go through and leave a comment, as one lucky winner this month will receive a free goodie pack of scrapbooking supplies!  Now on for my story... Is It Coffee Yet card      At the time I started crafting, I lived in Denver, Colorado area where I found stamping and making cards.  My very first project was my now 21 year old daughter's (pictured above)  birth announcements!  Since that first project - I have been hooked!  I went t...

More stamping ideas

Friendship ...something each of us has had in our lives, friends that mean more to us than anything...  I have a friend like that, someone who helped me get through a few things, was my confidant, and helped get me into trouble...let me tell you!  Kris and I worked at the Golden Corral as waitresses...and then ended up to be good friends!  State Street just was not the same if I was not with her..... In this example, I used a Close to My Heart stamp for the saying and the flowers, embossed in fine black embossing powder.  I then used Radiant Pearls paint to paint the hearts and flowers in, again embossing the entire creation with clear embossing powder to make it all pop.  The creation was layered with 2 different colors that match the rest of the album, and attached with a brad.   Use a saying stamp for a background repeating it across the entire page.  I also used a Close to My Heart alpha set to create sections in my album, which helped t...

Easy card idea

Very easy card idea , using a saying stamp, scraps of paper, a punch, and a brad to complete the look! This card does not take a lot of time to finish up, and you can change the look by using a variety of different colors and sayings, depending on what papers you use. As you look through your scraps, look at what you have right now. I will say it repeatedly, as you are creating a layout do a quick card as well! Keep a stash of cards you have made in the themes you would most likely use each month. Take a look at what you are going to need in the next few months, so when you have a bit of time, you can take the time to make a few cards instead of rushing when you don’t have the time! Cards might take 5 minutes to make, or more depending on the technique you use. Added to my basic toolbox for scrapbooking, you will want to get a black inkpad, and another color or two, I use white more than any other color, except a black inkpad! You also want to start to look for basic stamps that ...
