Things You Can Do With Stamps

I started with stamping - my first project, was my darling daughter Terra's birth announcements, made out of a Disney stamp and cardstock!  So stamps have been a huge part of my creativity for the past 25 years now!  At first when I started purchasing stamps - I bought everything I could...stamp upon stamp, and over half of them, I haven't used more than once!  I wasted a LOT of money, let me tell you!   A good purchase for a stamp, is one you can not only use over and over - but also the stamp that can be used for more than one theme or use!  It makes it so that flower, or present, or cloud, or saying - actually can start to give YOU back money by using the stamp versus purchasing a die cut or sticker!  Plus if you pair stamps with die cuts, punch pieces, AND stickers even - your creations can truly be one of a kind! With stamps, you can use them in different ways -  use for cards, add a bit of background paper, and you are done!  You can embos...

Using Stamps With Your Paper Crafting

If you are just starting out in scrapbooking - but have made cards before...this post is for you!  You already have a lot of things that you can do with your scrapbook pages, without having to spend a lot of money on embellishments!  If you are just starting out with stamping and are looking to add it to your paper crafting - a simple ink pad, markers or colored pencils, and an image will do!  You don't need a lot of things to start stamping - and by using your leftovers from other paper crafting projects, you won't have to spend a lot of money on this craft!   With Signs Of Me - I stamped a bunch of flowers on a scrap piece of paper, and then colored them in using colors that would match the papers I was using.  I then cut out my title using my Coluzzle - but this can be used with any type of alphabet template you can find, or die cut machine you have available to you!  Plus this stamp has been used so many times in various cards I have done - it's one o...

Easter mini album - day two

If you missed yesterday's post, then make sure you scroll down to see the first part of the album you will see here on today's post.  By the end of the album, you will have complete directions on how to make this fun album, and how to do each particular set of pages!  So, lets get started in showcasing this fun album, using different techniques in both stamping and scrapbooking to create it!           Each set of pages are made with a different technique, but the egg shape is what ties it all together.  Most of the pages do not even have a saying or title on them - but you know it is an Easter album just by the front cover and embellishments, so no need to have a title on each set of pages!  For the page at the very top, I used a bunny stamp, an oval template, created my own type of embellishment and added a simple purple tag to match the layout.  I wanted to decide if I was adding a photo to each of the pages...

Easter Blog Hop

Front and back cover       I love Easter - especially when my kids were little and they got fun Easter baskets filled with candy and goodies!  I always loved going overboard not only on their baskets, but also getting them outfits and shoes too!  Being a single mom of 3, made it hard to do what I wanted, but I tried anyway!  I didn't go to church a lot, or take my kids to church... but I sure did like to dress them up like when I was a little girl!  This album will be shown half today and then half tomorrow, so make sure you check back and see the rest of the fun project - pages 10 - 19!          With this project, I wanted a place to keep track of the fun pictures taken on Easter.  Tomorrow's post will have the rest of the album for you to see, created from stamps and paper!  I use what is available to me - and try not to spend a lot of money on things I don't know what I will use them for!  I like...

Lucky - with a challenge!!!

I don't consider myself a "lucky" person...I have had my fair share of things I have been through in life.  I lost an ex-husband to suicide and my father to Alzheimer's disease both on 8/5 - which was 3 days after my birthday - 5 years apart.  I was involved in a tornado 6 days after the ex died - in Salt Lake City, Utah - where tornado's don't hit. I was molested by 3 different people - I had an ex-wife from HELL get involved in my life and try to ruin and devastate not only me but my husband and my marriage.  However, I am one lucky woman when I met my husband Del, let me tell you!        Del came in my life when I needed someone the most - and I came in his about the same time!  We both had kids from previous relationships and marriages that we tried to blend (thus the ex-wife from hell comment) but he was something I just could not get enough of - especially how wonderful of a father he is!  He has a loving yet jackas...
