Last Birthday Card - Karson's

Okay but this little guy is just the cutest baby I have EVER seen!!!  I'm a little biased being one of his "nana's"...but he is pretty damn cute if you ask this one!!!  It's nice getting along with Megan's mom - and getting fun pictures posted for us on Facebook since we don't live where they all do and all!  Karson is our youngest grandson, Megan's 4th (and last) child!   Since he loves Thomas the Train, my husband decided to get him this fun little train for his first birthday - it lights up and talks and everything!!!  His birthday card, was so much fun for me to make - using the cupcake punch by EKSuccess - in more "boy" colors, and since he turned one, he got "one" cupcake!!!  A simple happy birthday punch off to the side, with a scrap of striped paper for the background!  This was a more simple card to do, but turned out cute with the colors I used!   The best thing about using punches and stamps - you can customize each...

Handmade Cards

Easy cards for you to recreate - using punches and scraps of paper!  Add a bit of rub-pn's, and you have yourself an easy beginner card or three!  All of the cards I do are one of a kind, even if I am trying to create the same card!  Each one ends up being different because it is simply handmade!  Now, make sure to get some sort of a stamp that says you made this card...to add to the back!  I have two sets I use, and love them!   As you start to make cards - here are a few tips to help you along the way!!!   Keep scraps from other projects - a small piece can go a long way when you use scraps!   If you are out of a certain color - and you can matt it with another color (such as the bright pink flower card), you can always use the bottom color to punch out your shapes (such as the flowers).   Scraps can be used for matting - for tags - for punch pieces - for stamped images or sayings - paper piecing's - just to name a few!   As...

Card Portfolio - Christmas Gift Idea

Front Cover - For those of you who make cards - I hope you will love this particular idea!  If you don't...the ideas are easy enough to recreate if you have a printer, a few fonts, and some sayings!  Add themed die cuts, stamps, punches, and other embellishments to create your own card packs!  So, lets get started on today's idea - my 4 pack of cards in a folder!  This is the front cover - which is an 8.5 x 11 sheet of cardstock turned the landscape way, fold 2" up, and then fold in half to create your folder!  Inside folder On the left and right sides, you will want to add your adhesive of choice  to keep the sides down.  The inside is for the cards, not necessarily to decorate - but you could do something fun with a bit of stamping techniques if you wanted to!   With the cards, I did 4 different themes, but keeping with the whole heart theme - I created he 4 cards you see below!  I used scraps for everything - except the full...

Final project - with a bit of a twist!

One thing I really love to do - is create - and the other thing ... is share what I love to do !  It's a natural thing for me - just give me paper, scissors, embellishments and glue...add a trimmer and my punches and I am GREAT to go!  Find me in a horrible mood - honestly - just shove me in my corner to let me create and make nice things for my friends and family!  Pretty soon I will be just fine!  I'm not sure if you guys are like me - but I learned that scrapbooking is a great therapy tool personally!   I was on Facebook - and you know...I have been trying to stay OFF that thing and actually get more done instead of playing the games and getting sucked into conversations!  I found a post about Jinger Adams' Design Team and the rest of my night was history!  So - here is my official entry, and we will see how this whole thing goes - however, I hope she likes my style enough to let me join her new team!  If not - I hope she finds awesome g...
