Creative Paperclay Design Team Project -

As most of you know, I have 3 cats...they are simply my pride and joy, my fur babies!!! Totally spoiled rotten, they have personalities all their own...and love their treats, let me tell you!  So, I created a fun altered box - to put their treats in - you can check it out here !   My "altered box" I used for the project, was the box I got with new Creative Paperclay product!  I was very happy to see they changed their packaging sizes a bit - you now can choose from a 4 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz package!  That way - you get the size you need, and don't have to waste any!   Make sure you check out my project on the link above...and see you next time! A to Z About Lynda Project Idea -

I love making paper bag albums, the vertical style especially!  This has been one of my favorite projects that I have made, and I can't wait to get photos added and the journaling done!  Now, for the cover, I used Creative PaperClay product and my alphabet templates to cut out the letters to my name.  Using my Radiant Pearls paint (no longer around), I painted my name... and I molded the flowers with the clay, painting them as well.   As you open the album, you will see the first 2 pages, with the right page opening up to reveal 2 more letters!  You can see each of the sets of pages here -  You can see the pages are alike, yet a bit different at the same time.  All papers were bought at Michaels Arts and Crafts - with the embellishments from my Sizzix die cuts and punches.  Also used was Ashlyn's Alphabet Cricut cartridge for the alphabet.  A to Z about ME...  Words, phrases, pictures, favorites...that's ...

Creative PaperClay Design Team Project

I am so excited to bring you today's project...and since I scrapbook more than I craft you get more of those type of ideas from me! I absolutely love doing vertical paper bag albums - being able to customize the covers to match the papers inside! With this project - it was made for my sassy sister Allison's birthday! (The one shown in last months post!) I can't wait for her to see it!!!  I started with the basic Creative PaperClay product, added my alphabet templates for scrapbooking I haven't used in a while, and my Xacto knife! It is a bit tricky to cut out the letters with the clay, but the look of it was perfect! As you are cutting out the letters, simply use your finger to fix any imperfections when the clay is being cut out. As I let the clay pieces dry out - I always turn them over about 12 hours in to things to allow for the other side to dry too. After the pieces have completely dried, grab your paint and paint the clay letters. I also mol...

Lynda's August Creative PaperClay Project -

This is my older sassy big (LOL) sister...who is 5 years older than I am, and about 6.5" shorter than I am!!!  When our mom was pregnant with me, all Allison wanted for her birthday was a "sister baby" and a birthday party! She ended up with both that year!   Her birthday is on the 12th (mine on the 2nd)...and after seeing some of the amazing projects here with using stamps, I had to pull out some and play!  I wanted to create a one of a kind magnet for her to put on her fridge!  I can't wait for her to see it because I love how it turned out!!!    Supplies used: Creative PaperClay Xacto knife Basket stamp by CTMH Flower and leaf mold Paint of your choice (I used Radiant Pearls Paint) Hot glue gun Heavy cardstock for base (scraps are fine)   To start with - I am not going to give you directions for how to stamp on the clay - there are GREAT projects prior to mine on this blog...

Creative PaperClay Tips

I absolutely love being a part of this amazing team of women, where in one way or another have taught me a lot where it comes to working with this Creative PaperClay !  I have so many things I am working on right now - some out of Creative PaperClay , some out of paper!  One of my current projects I am working on is a magnet made out of the clay, molds, and a rubber stamp!  I like experimenting with different mediums to see what type of "effect" I can get, while using basic stamping and scrapbooking materials!  I can't wait to start to play with other techniques and products to see what I can come up with!  Lynda's tips for the month:   Do NOT be afraid to play with the clay to create things with - and don't be afraid to scrap the project and start over using the same clay too!  I have used it for embellishments on frames, cans, cards, cereal boxes...  Use your imagination and have fun with it!   Make sure to clean your stamps and...

Creative PaperClay Project Idea

Today's project is an easy one...and can be tweaked to just about any color scheme you might have!  I started with the Creative PaperClay product and molded the daisy's, allowing to dry for a day or so before I painted them!  I flipped them over about 12 hours in to the dry time to allow for the other side to dry as well.  One thing I am working on now is getting my creations to dry flat - as I get something that works for me I will make sure to let you know!   It took a day or two for the drying to finish up, normally I will work on one part - and then will finish up things a day or two later!  I had bought the frame from a local "dollar store", which fits the picture I wanted to put in there PERFECTLY!  The colors I chose goes with my altered cereal box container found here and sits on top of my computer desk so I can look at it every day!   After the clay had finished drying, I painted the 2 daisies with Radiant Pearls paint, ...

Vertical Paper Bag Album Cover - Creative Paperclay Design Team Project

My first love was card making - buying every stamp I could from 1990 until I moved back home.  I think at one time I counted and I had over $6000 worth of stamp sets easily!  Over the years I learned I only needed a few that could do the trick!  This was in Colorado - then I moved back home in 1997 to Salt Lake City Utah...Scrapbooking heaven!  Where the magazines are at, or a lot of them anyway...  A lot of the manufacturers are there - and sales... oh you have no idea when they have their warehouse sales the stuff you leave with!!!  I have recently started working with clay products - and to say I am hooked is an understatement!  Also being in temporary quarters for just a bit longer - makes it so I can't do a lot of the fun things I have planned for you until we actually are in our own place!!!   This project is a vertical paper bag album, with this for the cover!  I used Creative Paperclay product and a mold I have...
