Robins Nest

Today's post is just a bit different - I am trying out for the Robins Nest design team - so the projects you will see today is for them!  Now, since I couldn't decide which team I wanted to try for - I decided to actually do 3 different projects - a scrapbook layout, a set of cards, and an altered project and then let them decide which one - if any - they wanted me to be a part of!  Funny thing is, I also won a recent blog hop gift which was fun stuff to play with from them, so my entry today also has their remarkable papers from them!  I hope you enjoy my projects!     My first project I am going to show you today started with this Pinterest pin!   I don't like copying exactly to the sketch, but this one ended up being a lot like the original one yet with my own Lynda's twist!  This is the first time I have been able to work with the Robins Nest papers - and will not be the last for sure!!!  I am in love with the two sided paper for sure!!! ...

Things I'm Thankful For Blog Hop

Welcome to the Things I'm Thankful For Blog Hop. This blog hop runs from November 18th through November 19th. For a lot of people, Thanksgiving has become a day to watch football, eat turkey, and watch the Macy's Day Parade. While these are not bad things, some believe the most important part of Thanksgiving is giving thanks to God for our many blessings. God was very much a part of that first Thanksgiving. Although some would say it was just a day of celebration. Historical records show it was a time to give thanks to God.The pilgrims looked at everything as a gift from God, even the sorrowful things they saw as God allowing them to perfect their character. So with that being said we have created this "Things I'm Thankful" blog hop to show you some things we are thankful for and some wonderful things we think of when we think of Thanksgiving. We’ve had so much fun creating this hop, and we have a wonderful line up with some oh-so-talented creators. Y...

More alphabet template ideas

If you are just starting out scrapbooking, I would suggest up front that you get some sort of an alphabet template to help save you a bit of money from having to buy stickers all the time!  A die cut machine is a bit costly, especially if you are just starting out scrapbooking in the first place.  An alphabet template can help you get the perfect titles for all of your pages in no time.  This is just another example of some of the layouts I have done using different types of alphabet templates for my layout titles!!!  Find one that you are attracted to that can be easy enough to cut out too!         For this layout, I used the Coluzzle alphabet template which I use for quite a few of the projects I do!  I like how I can cut the letters out that I need and use the rest of the paper for something else.  In this case - I broke down the letters, and matted them in the other colors on the opposite page to make...

It has been a day...since Saturday!!!

You know, I have a way I do things.....because my health makes it so I need to do things a certain way...I need to eat small meals more often...  I need to watch my stress level, and I need to eat right, not a lot of red meat for me...   Since Saturday - it seems that everything that could go wrong has gone wrong...  Back to life now!   A few weeks ago, I had my Christmas in July blog hop - I have been trying to email the winner - Judy.... Miss Judy, if you would please email me at LyndaJinco at gmail.com and in the subject line put Christmas in July blog hop winner ..... your email keeps getting sent back to me, so please send me your address!!!   Scrapbooking is different things to different people...  Some use it for therapy, some use it to document their families lives for futures generations to see, some do it as a way to keep their memories down on paper, some do it just because it's fun, and others do it because they have a bunch of photos and ...

It's all about ME!!!

Should you come with a warning label?  I know for me, there are 3 things you absolutely never mess with - me, my emotions, and my family.  Later on in life I added my customers to this list - as I am a customer service professional first and foremost - as I expect my  customers to be treated with kindness and respect!        The layout is a simple one, using 4 photos, simple tags for accents, and journaling.  I added a bit of eyelets to certain places, as well as computer generated journaling added to the middle of the page.  For me, my kids are my entire life...don't ever mess with them or momma bear will certainly come out worse than you have ever seen me before...it's as if my head spins in circles and I instantly become Lucy!        Your AAM challenge for the day - is to look at YOU in a nutshell, should you come with some sort of warning label, or are you pretty mellow most of the time?  It ...

Family Ties

Family Ties - being a family nowadays does not have anything to do with the biological parents living in the same house - and if you do have that - you are lucky.  A lot of families are blending kids - much like Del and I are.  Together we have Ryan 25, Megan almost 25, Jesse 24, Cody 23, Terra 20.5, Cheryl almost 20, Casey 18.5 and Krystal is 18...to date, we Del has 5 grandkids with 1 on the way, my kids don't have any kids yet.  Del and I each had Ryan and Megan when we were single...not marrying the other parent.  Then we both went on to get married to other people - and to have other kids.         Sometimes it's not about taking a bunch of pictures at the fun events such as birthday parties or holidays - though that is always fun too.  It's about taking photos of day to day events, and scrapbook them with just as much meaning as you do the parties and holidays. I didn't do any journaling on the above...
