More beginner layout ideas

      When you are first starting out, you do not want to go out and spend a lot of money on products you are not sure you will ever use again!  This craft is expensive enough - and besides, it's not about spending the most money on supplies and having the best products around, it's about learning some of the things you can do when you first start your pages, without going out and breaking the bank!  Yesterday's post had paper tearing shown, which is not something you have to go out and purchase anything for - simply tear your photo matt's or create aspects to go with your photos!        With this layout - I used Provo Craft sticker sheets, using words that described my daughter!  I wanted the focus to be on the pictures, not on the supplies I used!  When you first start out, you are stressed out enough, without having to worry about what you are doing right or wrong - or what supplies are perfect or not.  S...

9-11 Tenth Anniversary Remembrance Blog Hop

Welcome to a blog hop devoted to the remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11th.  If you just happened up on my blog, then you can go back to Tami's blog with is the    beginning - you have got to see all the wonderful talent!!!    The terrorist attack against our nation, which happened a decade ago, is a long time for some.  However for many, the day feels all too close. The deeply seared memories of the human sufferings and acts of heroism, which took place on that day, changed our nation. The nation was in shock when terrorists decided to hijack our airplanes and turn them into weapons.  It was beyond anyone’s belief that something so horrific could happen on our own soil.  It would be one thing if it were just the destruction of the Twin Towers or damage to the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville, PA, but almost 3,000 people perished, from the attack, leaving a scar on the sole of America. NSBR - dealing with people you are estranged with.....

     My post today is NSBR (not scrapbook related)...so feel free to click the little X  button at the top if you'd like...but the topic might just help you, or someone you care about, so I hope you decide to read on.  With Fathers Day this week - I wanted to talk  to those of you who are estranged from your dads...in hopes that things can change for  you this year.  I'm not an expert, or a psychologist...all I am is a mom, daughter, sister,  and a wife..   Casey with his Step dad Del       Whether it is your sister, your mother, your father, your brother...or just a friend that you haven't spoke to  in a while, it is really stressful - not only on you, but on them as well when you are not talking to someone you  care about.  One party or another won't go to events, or won't be invited...it's a back and forth game...I'm perfect example of all the above....  Yet, w hen it comes right down to it...
