I love digital scrapbooking - being able to take photos and memories and create a page!  I love this picture of me, my husband, 3 of our grandchildren taken a few years ago!  Since then, their mother - Del's daughter, has had another baby, this time a boy!  This picture has been used in many projects...but this layout is probably my favorite! Your challenge is to find one of your favorite layouts to start with.  Find one quote that you can use to go with it!  Choose one accent color you will use - I chose pink to match the girls' shirts and bow...  Create a layout with black and white, with one accent color!  I really like simple layouts like this, that doesn't take a lot of time to create it!  If you don't have a particular software you use - look back to the previous posts and you will find links to software I would recommend!  Within the next few weeks I will be reviewing another scrapbook software, and how to add kits for free, so ma...

When I first started digital scrapbooking, I started out by using Serif Craft Artist software (or at least the previous version that is), so this is what I have used from day one!  I tend to do easier type of layouts and projects...but I also love to play with all the bells and whistles, to see what I can come up with too!   I love the free kits I could download and use, without having to spend a bunch of money up front..., but I also like the kits you can purchase too!      You can download a free version of software at Daisy Trail web site, along with more free kits you can use!  Sign up for a free account, that way you can get on and check out what others are doing!  This review is on the Craft Artist 2 Professional software - cost $39.99, but is worth it in my opinion with everything you get with it!   Create scrapbook pages, photo books,  cards, invitations, toppers for cup cakes,  gift bags, tags, certificates, flyers and ...

I have paper scrapbooked for 16 years now...there is nothing better than finishing up an album or project...for everyone to see, touch and feel!  Then a few years ago, I was asked to do a review on some digital software...and off I went to play!  I spent a few days getting to know the software, downloading a free kit - and once my software was sent, I borrowed a few digital photos and created...that was it for me!  Paper versus digital...I love both, and still do both!    So, for those of you who haven't touched digital...but are curious about it, you will get all things beginner digital scrapbooking - Memories in Tyme style, once a week starting today!!  The best part about digital scrapbooking is being able to go home, right after an event - and scrapbook the photos from that event while your thoughts are still fresh... without having to wait for the photos to be developed and go shopping for supplies!  Another great thing I like about digital scrap...

Vertical Paper Bag Album How many of you digital scrapbook as well as paper scrapbook?  I do both - and love both of them for different reasons!  There is nothing better than picking up the papers you are working on - along with the photo's...and creating an album in which you have in your hands - something you have made!  This is one of my vertical paper bag albums I have created - A to Z about Lynda!  The only thing I need to do now is add my photos and journaling as I go, completing it as I have the time! Scrapping with Lisa Designs has a lot of fun patterns for you to use!  Whether you do digital scrapbooking - or paper...you are sure to find a pattern you can use in her store!  This pattern was a lot of fun to use - with a picture of our grand-kids on a trip through our hometown last year!  The file I used is the Summer Bear - part of her weather bear series!  The rest are digital files I happen to have in my stash of files!  With Lisa's designs, you can always use them as she has them, or make paper piecing patterns out of them and change the colors she has used!  You can do so much with a paper piecing pattern and scraps let me tell you!   Now, Lisa is also looking to bring a few more design team members on board...  You can find her on Facebook here, and here is a link to her blog !  Great way to get free files to work on - I'm working on Christmas tags, cards and layouts I can use at Christmas time - make sure you check back...

Okay - but first off...these two have just GOT to be the cutest things I have seen!  I love digital scrapbooking, especially when I scrap-lift photos to do a project!  Don't worry, I didn't just go to some random girls page and grab photos of her twins just to do this layout - their mom is someone my oldest went to school with - and with her permission, this layout was done!  Now I would totally claim them as my grand-daughters they are absolutely that cute, but my sister has the twins in our family, I'm not quite that lucky - YET!   The file for this project and so many more can be purchased at Scrapping With Lisa Designs , and  can be used as paper piecing patterns, or printed and cut out to put on your pages or projects that way!  She has a lot of neat files and a fun Christmas related blog hop coming up at the end of the month to showcase her awesome Christmas files!  I just ordered and received two of the best files - I can't wait to get w...

     Every Monday, you will get a challenge to work on for the week - this weeks challenge is the above ad!!!  When you look at ads, don't just look at what they are selling, learn to look at the placement of the items  for help, especially when you are just starting out!  For me I love the white space to start with, making the light green pop against the background.  I also love the daisy's - but then I always like a good flower when I create!  I also love how they used the blue with the layout, but for me, I didn't want to use blue - instead using black for my journaling.        My take for the challenge is this layout, made with Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist 2 software, and Painted Backyard free kit.  I started with the all white background, and then added the green for the middle.  I then added the frame, picture - and then the hearts for the embellishments, finishing off with the journaling below the pictur...
