Monthly Challenge

Get Er' Done Hello my favorite creative people!!!  Long time, no blog posts!!!  Well, that is about to change!!!  Much going on in the Jeff's house in the past 6 months, more life changing than anything!  But that is for another post!!!!! Right now, it is THAT time, time to look at our calendars!!!  With the Covid virus, your list might be a bit different than it normally is!  You might have more cards to make and send out, or gifts to get started on that might save you some time!!!  I will have a few things you can think about creating ahead of time at the end of the post! Look at the next 6 weeks until the middle of June!  What kind of events do you have during this time? Look at the next 3 months, until the end of July!  What other events do you have that needs to be looked in to? Look in to the next 6 months, until the end of November!  What do you have coming up you can start to look in to here?   Last, look at t...

December Thoughts and Plans

I'm not sure about you guys, but wow, I can't believe it is December already!  I'm not sure how it all happened, but here we go, almost in to a new year!  This post is a bit of everything - from planning to reflecting...of course "Memories in Tyme" style!   If you celebrate Thanksgiving, what did you think of the date this year?  I don't remember when it was this late in the month, and not sure I like it being this close to Christmas!!!  Yet this year, was more of a special year, first time around my family in 12 years!!!  Challenge or two to document this years events: What are YOU grateful for this year? What did YOU do this year - and who did you spend it with?  If you are one of those "planner folks" - grab your planner and sit down and lets get to work!  If you aren't - get whatever YOU like to plan your life with and lets get started!  Look at the next 6 weeks or until 1/15/2020 for what you have going on Next look at ...

Monthly ChallengePost

Hello everyone, it's that time again!!!  I am doing things a bit different for myself personally - and hopefully this challenge will actually help me get more done both business wise, and personally!  Now, I will be honest with you - I am technology challenged, but am researching the best ways to organize my smart phone, my tablet and my computer together - in order to get more done in life!  Right now - I have a notebook - and use it I will until I figure all of that little stuff out!!!!  (If you have any good apps you use for this - please make sure you send me a message here!!!)       So, lets get started - grab your calendar, tablet, smart phone, sheet of paper and a pen/pencil - whatever you need to organize yourself and lets do this!!!  Take a look at your calendar until the middle of April - what do you have going on for you personally that needs to get done and taken care of in the next few weeks?   Next look at things until ...

New Years Resolutions and Projects

New Years is a time to reflect, and reflect I did...the good, the bad and the ugly for sure!  This year I plan to do better - different - get those things I have needed to get done  DONE, and shared too, more done early and mailed before the date!!!!  This month - we are going to be working on 2 different projects - pick and choose what you want to do, get your supplies put together, and lets get started!   2016 Year in Review - do a project - a layout or mini album with nothing but how last year went for you (if you did not do Project Life)!   2017 "Intentions" - what you want to accomplish by the end of this year - again a layout or mini album project!   For this year - decide how you are going to do this years albums, join me in Project Life maybe, or just do the same thing you have been doing?  I want to document the whole year - the things we have going on, so by the end of THIS year - I can see the hard work actually documented - tha...

Happy Birthday Casey and a Challenge

Today is my "babies" birthday - 24 years old!!!  Casey and his sister - are 2 of those things I did right in life...in spite of everything I did wrong!  He taught me how to laugh, how to live again - he taught me that God really does have a sense of humor... and if he would have been my first - he would have been my ONLY child!!!  LOL I remember going into labor on Christmas night - spending all night in the hospital - had an amnio the very next morning to see if his lungs were okay...  I had already had one with lung problems, and we knew he was going to be born early...so they gave me steroid shots to make sure they got developed okay!  Born 6 weeks early......he's a fighter for sure!!! Born the day after Christmas - my sister 4 days before...  She told me when I had him not to include his Christmas presents with his birthdays - and never to wrap his birthday in Christmas wrap!!!!  He gets everything one time of the year - and nothing the rest...

Being Grateful

Today is Thanksgiving if you live in the states, where you spend time with friends or family (both???) eating a ton of food for sure!  It's all about togetherness, love, putting differences aside, and simply being grateful for one day at least!  As I sit down today, reflecting on my past...and what is in store for my future, I simply am amazed! Reflections.....wow, so much to actually be thankful for, so much growing, so much learning - so many doors shut finally!!!  I am excited for what is next - what I have worked towards, and how I simply won't settle for less anymore!  Along with that - Memories in Tyme is changing a bit...with more goals to bring out the things I want to - and putting to rest that in which I can't simply do right now, and the wisdom to know the difference !  Life is about moving forward - learning - GROWING!!!   T oda y, while you are with friends an d family - take a small notebook and pen with you - jot down the funny things th...

Happy Anniversary and A Challenge

My dad died on 8/5/2004 - 3 days after my birthday, 5 years to the day after my ex-husband committed suicide!  I hate the day - I hate the week - I hate the month...and I simply will never be the same again because of this one set of events!  I miss my dad - more than I ever thought I would, I am more like him than I thought I was, and yet - after a random conversation today with my mom - I realize I am like her in ways as well!   It would have been my parents' anniversary today - I called to wish my mom a great day, and simply wished my dad one through the angels!  I thought about growing up - and how lucky I was to have both parents in the same house, let alone living in the same house my whole life never having to move!  I thought about going out to dinner on their special day, always something nice!  I thought about never hearing my mom and dad argue at ALL - in the 50 some- odd years they were to gether!  I learned love - and once I found T...

Monthly Planning Challenge

I am normally not an organized person - procrastinating comes natural for me I guess - and I hate it too!!!  I'm not sure if you guys are challenged like that - but for me, it's really hard to deal with!  For this month - I have a bunch of things I need to get started on, especially to get everything finished up before I really need them done!  Grab your favorite items to organize yourself with - your tablet, planner, computer, pen/pencil, paper - and lets get started!   Look at your calendar for the next 6 weeks until the middle of November - what kinds of events do you have that you need to get things done for? Next look at things for the next 3 months until the end of December - what other things do you have that you need to plan out and get things done for? Lastly, look at things for the next 6 months until the end of March, again - what types of things do you have going on you need to plan out things for?    My list is varied - from gifts to t...

Old and New -

I remember living in Utah where I started to scrapbook - I had already rubber stamped and had all these goodies I simply didn't know what to do with!  I went out all the time with my sister and spent so much money it wasn't funny!!!  I don't even think I used even half the supplies I bought - other than cardstock and adhesive that is, until recently!  Now, I try to purchase only what I need for my own personal stuff, and what I need to create with - I really don't purchase anything extra anymore!!!   What about you guys - do you purchase everything out there known to mankind and paper crafters everywhere, or do you selectively look at each item you do purchase a bit more?  I used to purchase everything, now I am selective - and love to mix both new supplies, with old supplies to create something fun and one of a kind!   A bit of a challenge for you this weekend: Grab something old and add it to something new - can be cardstock, paper, embellishments, ...

September Monthly Planning Challenge

I have been working on my own style of planner - both the dividers as well as the pages for the inserts!  I want something where I can keep track of things a bit better - when something is paid, birthday's, gift idea's, things to make, a shopping list - both for creative and non-creative purposes, a meal planner, addresses, web site passwords, and more!!!  Every aspect of my life to organize will be in this planner!  I am using it for my monthly challenges - and it even has a place for one month - three months and then six months out for planning purposes!!!  If I then need to get making something, then I have everything in one place!!!  I'm not sure how you guys organize yourselves, but I feel like I am an organized/un organized mess at times!!!  My goal is to stay organized for the rest of this year - and in to next!       That all said - grab your favorite device, pen/paper, planner, calendar - whatever you need, and lets get starte...

I am using last years' Ch ristmas themed paper pack from Stampin' Up , stamps (also from Stampin' Up), and embellishments from my sta sh of things! I have so far c...
