Inspiration When You Have NONE!

Life has thrown me a few curve balls lately - of which I apologize for not posting like I wanted to the past few weeks!  Hopefully that will change this month into next!!!  If you are like me - creating just helps the brain - and the stress level!  Yet there are times that creating is just stressful in itself!  Plus, I tend to procrastinate - thus the post from yesterday to remind everyone to look at their calendars for things you need to do!

So, how do you "create" when you just have no inspiration to do it?  Or, like me, life has just thrown you curve balls lately that don't allow you to be able to "create"?  Well, today, we are going to talk about just that, with a few things I am going to try to do so that I can get more done!  Hopefully it will help some of you too!

  • Start reading some of the blogs you subscribe to...  Find your favorite one, and look at the past things they have done!
  • Look back at some of your favorite projects - can you make something for someone else as a gift?
  • Check out Pinterest - YOUR own boards...or here is my link, follow me and grab some fun inspiration there!
  • Go to a class, or check out YouTube for fun scrapbooking/card making related video's you can check out and learn from!
  • Make something small - like a bookmark shown here!  A 2.5 x 6" scrap can make the best bookmarks ever!
  • Just pick a project - and DO IT...  Don't second guess yourself, or think about it, just get in and do it!
  • Try something different - if you normally do 12 x 12 albums ONLY - find a mini album, paper bag album, or something totally different such as cards, altered projects or a framed page instead!
My lack of creativity lasted quite a while, and when I get busy with life, it's even worse! Add to that a stress level - well, you can tell why I create in the first place!  I have a ton of birthday's in the next few months...plus Christmas coming up - so for me...I need to get things created...or at least thought about and stuff purchased to get things created.  I just need to "do it"...plain and simple!  I hope you join me while I fix my procrastination problem and get lots of fun stuff created!
