Creative Paperclay Design Team - Beginner Tips

Working on Cards -

In yesterday's post, I had you look at your calendar from now until February, scroll down for that post when you are done here!!!!  If you have a lot of things going on at one specific time, it is nice to get cards made up ahead of time, to save yourself time - THEN!!!  Or for those moments you find out about a birthday, or someone is sick, or whatever - and you don't have the time to run to the store to pick one up!!!  I like to keep a stash of cards around for me to use when I need them the most - in various colors, styles and themes!!!  Plus if you purchase a great stamp set that has different sayings - you can create different cards with one set - or adding to another set!  This way you don't have to pick up a bunch of sets all at once, you can spread your purchases out over time!  I have a couple of other posts you might want to check out relating to making cards and the summertime challenge (turning into early fall)!!!!  Check out this one whi...

Monthly Planning Challenge

We all know these challenges are more for me than you - but I do see these are helping others based on the readers!!!  So - I have recently changed this from the middle of the month to the beginning of the month - and a bit more in the planning end of things!!!  Lets get started, grab all of your favorite utensils to organize your life with and lets get started in the planning!!!!   Take a look at your calendar for the next month and a half - until the middle of September!!!  What kind of things do you need to get planning for - purchasing for - thought out - etc???   Next take a look at your calendar for the next three months - until November - what kinds of things do you need to get ready for during this time? New Planner Pages - Week 1

This is going to be another one of those weekly posts for the next 3-4 weeks or so - in order to create your own planner!  It will be up to you to decide how YOU are going to do it - what supplies you are going to use and so on - but at the end of it all, you will have your own style of planner for what YOU need, and I will even give you some pages through the ne xt few weeks for you to use as you want to !  Lets get started!!! Basic Card Making 101 - and A Challenge

I started making my own cards 25+ years ago, and hav en't st opped since!  I love to make one of a kind cards to give to my friends and family , either just because I want to - or for an event like their birthday!  Th e next few month's we are going to work on making a stash of cards for you to give out to your friends and family!  I have an upcoming class with Stampin ' Up that will help you get your stash started, more details to follow!!!  Along my journey making my own cards, I have learned a few things along the way - including: You don't need t o purchase everything you see - learn to refrain from buying everyt hing , but get what you w ill use for sure!   An 8.5 x 11 sheet of cardstock cut in half and then folded in half makes the perfect c ard bases for your cards!  Simply add a pack of envelopes and you are done!  As you make a layout for an event, and you have supplies left over - create a few cards t hat you can use later on...
