Precious Moments -

We spend all this time detailing our memories through the photos we take at the event - but what about some of those memories that truly deserves something "else" - above the photos, to document that special day, have you ever thought about that?  I know I didn't until a recent talk with a friend, about Precious Moments figurines !   There are so many different events and things you can give one of these amazing figurines for -  Start out with a newborn baby - and give them one each year!   Give to a new grandparent - when they have a new grandchild! Decorate your house with different figurines that are specific for you. Give to your wife for a unique anniversary or birthday gift! Start a collection for a family member! Start a collection for YOURSELF!   Memories are priceless - showcase an event, a birth...a wedding - whatever type of fun things you have going on in your life, Precious Moments is sure to give you something special you can give! ...

Embossing With Ink - Tips and Tricks (And a Sale Too)

Embossing, you can "emboss" two different ways - a dry emboss is with stencils and a stylus to have the image be more raised on the paper, and a wet emboss is with a special ink pad and powder to heat your stamped images to be a raised look.   Embossing this way 'simply put', helps your image to "pop" off the page and be more detailed.  The first step to embossing - you will need a few supplies on hand.  Keep in mind, I have had the same heat gun for at least 20 years now...so this purchase is very economical - and can be used for many different things (such as taking stickers off vehicles) LOL!!!!  You will go through more ink pads than you will heat guns - that is for sure!   Items you will need to add to your basic toolbox kit -  Heat tool - allows you to heat and emboss the stamped image Ink pad - needs to be a special type of pad, or Pigment ink at least Embossing powder - powder that when heated, is raised and hard on your page/proj...

Beautiful DIY Flowers From Bloominous

When it comes to an event you are planning, whether it is a wedding, or just a huge party with a lot of guests - you want your event to go perfect.  From the invitations you send out, down to the very last detail of the flowers, each and every detail not only affects the other decision, but it also can be very costly on top of it!  That is partially why I started Memories in Tyme - to create one of a kind invitations for clients - ON A BUDGET!   Yet, it was the GREAT website I found recently  that provides easy DIY floral arrangements kits  for weddings and events, and wanted to share it with you guys.  So many brides spend days researching the perfect wedding - and because they DO want it perfect, they turn to DIY to save costs.  But when you look at the process of  researching, purchasing, and arranging - the floral's often end up causing more stress and  dollars, just like creating the perfect event invitations.  Recognizing this...

Using the Cricut Machine for Cards -

Since we have been talking about cards this week, I decided to show you a few cards that I have done using the Cricut machine - with the cartridges I have!  All you have to do is add saying stamps to die cuts, mix in background papers and you have one of a kind cards!  As you can see with the examples here, die cut shapes can be used in different card styles and themes, depending on what you happen to need at the time!  If you do not have a machine of your own, find a friend who does, and use theirs, - or go to a crop night at a local craft store in order to use their machine for free! Just make sure to die cut extra shapes for use later on!  At least try it out before you purchase it!  For me, using it for the alphabets alone for my scrapbook projects have been a time saver as well as a money saver!  You can then see how adding cards to the mix, will start to save money over time as well!  Just don't purchase a ton of cartridges, or at least have ...

Thinking of You Cards -

Thinking of you cards can be for so many different things - because someone is having a hard time, or just because you want them to know you care and are "thinking about them".   This is one of the final categories I tend to create cards for, other than holidays and my new design "Hello/Hi" - being created now!  I love different type of cards to send to people...thinking of you is no different! Each of the cards here are different, but can be used for different reasons!     With the blue daisy card at the top, I added a white "thinking of you" stamp randomly across the top and the bottom of the card.  A simple border, created from scraps - and a simple daisy flower with a brad to complete the card! When you stamp like this - grab another color, set them side by side, and stamp on the other color at the same time.  With the pink card - I used a stamp in cursive in black ink at the top portion of the card.  The pink patterned paper at the...

Thank You Cards -

Have you ever thought about "thank you" cards?  Do you like to receive them - or is it simply a forgotten "thing" from days long ago, because we have Facebook, and Twitter, and other ways to converse with people?!?!  I think it is simply a "thing of the past" - yet something that is so important - to simply say "thank you" for a job well done!  With today's cards, we are going to go over some fun "thank you" cards in different styles!  Lets get started!      With the top card - one fun example using rub-on's, with punches, buttons, brads, and scrap paper to complete the look! Simple card, without having to get stamps! With the second card - scraps of paper were used with square brads, along with a rub-on saying (or you can use a stamp) to finish up this card!   With the purple card - looks a bit more complex, but done using 2 stamps, a button, floss, and scrap paper.  The sayings are embossed in white to complete th...
