Mini ME.....

Me, Mini Me, Casey and Del.....
Mini Me was a fun layout to do - it started with the background paper, and the rest happened from there.   Terra is my mini me...she looks so much like me that everyone I went to school with will say that they know exactly where she came from and who she looks like!  The layout was done a number of years ago, when both of us were in 7th grade...the photo of the 4 of us was done just this year...so you can see how much she resembles me!

Supplies needed:
Mini Me left side
2 sheets of cardstock/paper for the background
Patterned paper that coordinates
Scraps of paper
Alphabet template
Wire
Tags
Floss
Blue marker for journaling
Eyelets or brads
Tags
Handmade arrow (used wavy template)

Directions:
Mini Me right side
Step one:  Separate the background paper to put the items made on them.
Step two:  Start to matt your photos, matting twice to create a neat look.  Add the photo to the proper side.
Step three:  Start to create your title with your alphabet template.  I used a simple white for the background, then using different colors that match the background paper made the mosaic paper effect as I went along.
Step four:  Still working on the title, create a 2" border across the top of both pages.  First cut 4 squares in one of the background papers and place on the background paper for the title.  Add the letters to each side, and wrap wire around the entire title on both sides.  Finish up with the eyelets or brads on the 4 corners of each border.  Place them on the correct side.
Step five:  For the tags, start to create the same mosaic feature that was done on the title, adding the floss to the tops of the tags.  Add one to each side.
Step six:  Using a wavy template, start to create the wave for the arrow.  For the top, use patterned paper, and small shapes for the inside of the arrow.  When you are putting this on the layout, you want to place it on top with both layouts side by side.  Cut the creation at the spot where you need to, putting each side where it needs to be.
Step seven:  After you have gotten the basic shape for the journaling, write your journaling first in pencil to make sure you have enough room for the journaling...going over it in the marker.  After you are done, erase any of the pencil marks.
Step eight:  Start to add everything to each side of the layout...I love to use Glue Dots brand adhesive, as it is very easy to use...and the creations stick where you want them to!
