Digital scrapbook projects cheap and easy!

There are many things you can do this year to make this Christmas a good one...just start doing things NOW!  One project I have been working on is my grandma's recipe's...  This album is truly a work from the heart, to be given to my children in a book form for Christmas this year.  As I am done with it - a CD will be sent to my cousins for them to do what they want to with them - whether they make an album themselves, or they can have a book made like mine will be is up to them!

The software I use is by Daisy Trails called Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist 2 - a product review has been done if you check out this page, just scroll down until you see the title!  They have free kits available, this is all I have used from them...plus you can take a piece from this kit and a piece from that kit and make your own kit!  I would suggest downloading the free software and a few kits to start with, before you purchase the software, but it is fun to play with, let me tell you!  This is also a great way to be able to use something before you purchase it to make sure you are happy with it!   It looks like they have a newer version of what I have called Craft Artist - which is well worth the price!

When you are done with the album you are wanting to make, I would suggest signing up for a free Shutterfly account...plus they will send you an email with specials for printing out books from time to time.  A lot of times, you can have one printed for $19.99 or so...about the same amount as you would spend for a gift for someone in your family anyway, and this is something you would be able to keep for years and years!

I hope you have had fun with the projects I have shared this month - we have a great blog hop from 7/22 until 7/25...4 days worth of great ideas for people to recreate themselves!  I have worked hard on the projects I am bringing you, right along side the other girls in the hop!  Each day you will have a different project from each of the gals on he hop!  I hope to see you there - a lot of them are giving away something special...I will have a $25 gift card for one special person that follows each of the girls, and leaves a comment on the blogs each day!!
