Christmas in July

With Christmas here in less than 6 months - this month will be spent sharing with you card ideas, a few layout ideas, ways you can give gifts, as well as gift ideas you can give to your friends and family.  Times are hard right now for everyone, spending the time making a one of a kind gift for someone not only helps the pocket book, but also helps when you have a lot of things you can use already - just stashed away!  Plus when you make a present for someone, it is truly a gift from the heart made specifically for that person!
Through out this month I will be giving you reminder posts - to start to look at what you need to purchase, parties you need to plan for, baking you need to do, or even gifts you need to make.  That way - you are not caught at the beginning of December having to figure out what you need or want to make, but not having enough time to do it all!  I am sure some of you already do a bit of this and that throughout the year, but for those of us who don't - this is for YOU!
To get started, here is a few challenges for you!
Challenge #1:  Grab a composition notebook you can alter in order to keep track of what you need to do.  This way all of your notes for things you need to do is in one place.  (Pick up a bunch to make presents for people, they make a great personalized journal)
Challenge #2:  Within that notebook, start to put sections for YOU - dinner parties, baking, gifts to make, gifts to buy, etc.  This way, you can grab one thing when you are planning and shopping!
Challenge #3:  Look at the things you are planning on making - what do you have at home and available to you that you can make and get started on?
Challenge #4:  Start your Christmas card list - are you making cards, or purchasing them?  If making - look at designs and how many you need to make to get them mailed.  Making a few each week helps
I will be posting some sort of Christmas related post all month long until we hit the birthday blog hop!  I am also hosting a wonderful Christmas in July blog hop with (at this point) 14 other women who will also have fun ideas posted on their blogs too!  I am excited to bring you fun ideas for you to recreate, other blogs that also have fun ideas, and fun things to buy that are Christmas themed all this month!  Then - on the 25th of each month until Christmas time, you get a monthly reminder about it being xyz number of months before Christmas!  This way you can continue to plan and get things done to make this years season a memorable one!  I hope you enjoy the month!
