My youngest two kids are two years and two weeks apart...  My daughter was born on December 11, my son born on December 26th two years later.  I remember going to the doctor for my yearly check up the year after she was born.  I did not want a third child, at least not right then...so it made the doctors visit all that much harder when the test came back positive - especially since I was on the pill!   When I brought him home she hated him...and did until these pictures, from this point on they have always been together and very close.  I am not close to my siblings, the one that is just older than me is 5 years older - totally no closeness there...but these two - it amazes me still how close they really are.   I used a simple star punch as an accent, with a bit of ribbon & buttons under one of my favorite pictures taken.  I used 3 slides, decorated with the same stars and buttons, but added mulberry pap...
This is one of those layouts that can be recreated with different themes and different colors... depending on what you need.  In this layout, I chose photos that show my cat's personality, as you can tell she is Miss Priss around this house!  You could change this by using the same title and colors, just put girl photos in!   You can also change both the title and colors, just use blues for the colors and change the title to "All Boy" instead!  The cardstock I chose for this example is from the  Bazill Basics  company.  They have 5 packs that coordinate with each other, making it so that your colors match!   In this example, as easy as it is, I did use a couple of harder techniques.  I will give you ideas how to change things for your experience level.  On side 1, I used eyelets to hold the ribbon, but you can always use a simple hole punch, placing ribbing through it and glueing down both the top and bottom port...

All Star Kid

This layout was made very quickly, wanting to showcase the photos, not anything else.  Since I didn't have a lot of embellishments to use for this one, in the colors I wanted to use, I chose to use a simple star punch to accent things.  This is a 30 minute or less layout for sure!  When I started scrapbooking, I chose to scrapbook the photos that were more recent, instead of choosing photos from long ago.  The problem for me was trying to come up with journaling, or remembering things from that long ago to put on my layouts.  I worked on my younger childrens albums, while leaving my oldest sons album alone.  Now I regret that, as my memory about that time isn't as good as it is now...I can't remember the little things as much as I can now!     This layout can be recreated in many different ways, with a child, or change the title and do a layout about the love between you and your spouse, or a birthd...
