My Life       The digital layouts that are done and shown are all done with Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist 2 software and their free kits they have available.  I love the versatility of the paper and embellishments they have in each of their kits, being able to use them for other things...not just the theme.  The kit I used for this project is British Street Party - which also has a fun themed paper, and other themed related sayings you can add to your layouts. Most people look at the theme of something, and instantly not look into it because of the name...I was curious to see what was in the kit, and I am glad I did.  Make sure to look inside the kits to see all the different things you have available inside each kit!  I am working on a special project with the layouts I am sharing from this event...  I want to make a book at Shutterfly.com with the layouts I am making now and give it to my kids and my mom...        ...

Me, Mini Me, Casey and Del.....      Mini Me was a fun layout to do - it started with the background paper, and the rest happened from there.   Terra is my mini me...she looks so much like me that everyone I went to school with will say that they know exactly where she came from and who she looks like!  The layout was done a number of years ago, when both of us were in 7th grade...the photo of the 4 of us was done just this year...so you can see how much she resembles me!   Supplies needed:    Mini Me left side 2 sheets of cardstock/paper for the background Patterned paper that coordinates  Scraps of paper Alphabet template Wire Tags Floss  Blue marker for journaling Eyelets or brads Tags Handmade arrow (used wavy template) Directions:   Mini Me right side  Step one:  Separate the background paper to put the items made on them.   Step two:  Start to matt your photos, mat...

Different.....      For this challenge, I want you to find a photo...it doesn't matter if the photo is older, or current - find a photo!  Then find a word that describes you - I chose "different" because I am different than most people are....I feel different and I am different...        I started with the 1 word title first - I added the definition of "different" and tags with journaling coming out the side of the layout.   Supply list:   1 sheet background paper (I used 12 x 12 Chatterbox paper to be able to use the extra's) Coordinating paper Alphabet template Brads Sizzix frames & tags Floss & ribbon for the tags Button Marker to match Directions:   Step one:  Cut your background paper to 8.5 x 11 (unless you do 12 x 12 albums) putting the extra aside for use later on.   Step two:  From the coordinating paper, die cut the Sizzix frames in both the wave and the square background.  A...

     When you look at this picture, you see 4 people in a beautiful background...what you don't see are the struggles Del and I went through just to be at this one event.  You know, I used to take every day life for granted...I used to take the fact my grandma was around for granted...until she died.  I took my health for granted until it was taken from me...and I certainly took my children for granted because they were there everyday...until I had to send them to live with their dad.        Yet in my own defense, there really isn't a textbook out there on how to deal with the many issues I have had to - suicide, Alzheimer's disease, Hurricane Brandi and the ole' paternity and extrinsic fraud crap...  You can't go back and undo what was said, nor can you change what has been done...but I will say this   IT  TAKES TWO PEOPLE TO CHANGE THE RELATIONSHIP, NOT JUST ONE.. .IF BOTH PARTIES ARE NOT WILLING TO PUT DIFFERE...

Christmas tags      If you missed the Christmas in July blog hop , you owe it to yourself to go to the beginning on 7/22 and start there...  You will have 4 full days with 13 girls sharing Christmas related projects and gifts with you!  There are Christmas cards, layouts, gifts to make...the whole bit!!!  The ideas can be tweaked to what YOU need them to look like...the recipe tin can be made for tons of different purposes...not only a fun Christmas gift, but also a shower gift, a wedding gift, a birthday gift...etc!  In fact this whole month there have been a lot of Christmas related ideas that has been shared with you!         Christmas is 5 months away, so start to plan what you need to do...  Your challenge for the month is to start to get everything planning and in one place for planning.  In other words, grab a notebook (composition notebooks are awesome to redo into something else...pick out fun Christmas ...
