Last weekend I went to 2 blog hops... I'm not sure in which one I got
this idea - I think I actually seen it on both hops - but I am not
positive! Either way - the following idea is all because of THAT - one of
the hops! I went onto YouTube.com and found mysistersscrapper and watched the series of video's
before I even started on the "creation". I have scrapbooked for
15 years but have never done a paper bag album...I am now hooked! This
gal has a bunch of video's...you want to start at this particular one and go all the way through...
I'm not going to give you the directions because of hers!
For the first page, you want to
start here! This is page 24 - for the entire project I
used the following supplies:
6 paper bags
Page 24 |
K&Company TC Cottage Garden

Colorbok white cardstock
Unknown brand red, yellow and green
cardstock
K&Company Grand Adhesions

K&Company Susan Winget die cut

Basic Grey Designer Rub-ons
Making Memories pockets
Pressed Petals real flower confetti
Dimensional pop dots
Family Treasures corner punch
Paper trimmer w/score attachment
Recollections rhinestone stickers
Misc. buttons
Making Memories Decorative Brads
(square and circles)
Sizzix die cut machine - tags,
Wildcard & Envelope Bitty Daisy, Flower #1, Flower #6
Sizzlets, Leaf Stem, Flower Power #2
Page 24 is the last and final "page"... Starting with 6 paper bags, adding the flaps to each bag - makes 4 pages for each bag! On the opposite side of this will be some sort of fun "creation"...I just learned how to do a cascading feature - I can't wait to get it finished up to show it to you! However, for this page - another large tag in the pocket...each one measuring 4.5 x 5.75"...and the little envelope with card inside attached to the top. I used the same pocket feature, adding 3 flowers to it, with the top one being 3D'd! The larger tag in the back measures 6 x 9.5" - you could easily fit 3 photos on the front and back side if you wanted - or photos on one side and journaling on the other! I am really happy with how the album turned out...and can't wait to share the cover with you! This will be the first video I do - but not the last for sure! I hope you have fun making your own paper bag album... Lunch sacks - small sacks you can purchase at the craft store...sacks you might get at the store you go to... Recycle what you can - ask around, you never know where you might come up with sacks to use! I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have had in showcasing it - a post with the video of the cover and inside pages will follow in a few days!!!
Thanks for stopping by,
