When you are first starting out scrapbooking and making cards, you want your projects to look nice, but not take a lot of time to accomplish it! You want to be able to learn how - without spending a lot of time doing it! My beginner projects are meant to do just that - with you tweaking to what you have - or your own style! For this project - I used one photo, with the age I was...and then 42 random things about me written on the two pages.
Basic supply list:
2 sheets background paper
2 sheet coordinating patterned paper
1 sheet (or scraps) white cardstock
Scraps for punch's
Rub-on's
Daisy punch (can substitute)
Brads
Template for numbers
Black fine tip marker
Directions:
Step one: Decide the "number" you are using and start to write down things to go with the theme you have selected.
Step two: Matt one photo on patterned paper and white cardstock.
Step three: If using a punch, punch 13 daisy's of 2 different colors and attach with a brad.
Step four: Add 6 flowers to the photo matt - (I use hot glue) - attach to the left side with the title. Flowers can be substituted if you have other products to use. Add the rest of the flowers to the bottom of side two. (Paper already had the border and flowers)
Step five: Create your numbers - I used a basic number template and matted it on thick chipboard covered on the side with ribbon. This can also be substituted if you have other products.
Step six: Using the rub-on's (or alternative product) - continue to finish up the title.
Step seven: Add the things you have written from step one to both of the pages.
So...for those of you who have started your All About Me album... Your challenge is to create a page for YOUR album! If you haven't started it - here's your first challenge TO get you started!
For everyone else - pick a number...and do a layout about you or anyone you want to...as long as it has a number in your theme!
And - to make it even funner... If you've already done a layout like this, but it has been a few years ago...then do another one, but talk about the changes since you did the first layout! I can't wait to do mine this year because there have been many changes since I created this layout!
When you first are starting out - look at the different types of pages and albums you can do before jumping in and doing a page or project. You want to be picky about the photos - and know not each one NEEDS TO BE in the project right now. You can actually do a lot of fun projects by NOT using up everything!
