Each week I am going to try to bring you some sort of a beginner project - either a layout, mini album that is easy to make, card, or altered project that is easy enough if you are just starting out. There are many things you can do to keep your creating costs down - one of which is keeping your scraps! Find some sort of container you can use - for me, I have them in file folders by color - so I can grab just the specific file I need for the project I might be working on.
As you start to do cards, your scraps will come in handy to create one of a kind creations! This was made with the Thinking of You stamp, and then a bit of ribbon to add to the corner of the card! Very simple, yet looks really nice. With the Thanks card - again, using a simple Thanks stamp - and scraps of paper from another project along with a heart die cut and punch - using scraps to punch and die cut the pieces necessary. A very simple card pack can be bought which has the card base and envelope needed to make the card.
And with this last card, you can see how easy it is to use scraps of paper for the matting, squares along the middle of the card in brown, with a simple Sizzix Sizlets flower for each of the squares - adding a simple 3D flower and brad for the middle. This type of card can be done using 4 different colors along with the same type of supplies for a cute card set to give to someone!
Your challenge today is to use your scraps to create a card of your choice. If you look back to a couple of days ago, you will also see a Monochromatic Blog Hop which had a ton of awesome cards you can check out throughout the whole hop to give you even more ideas! I hope you enjoy this idea!
