9-11 Tenth Anniversary Remembrance Blog Hop

Welcome to a blog hop devoted to the remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11th.  If you just happened up on my blog, then you can go back to Tami's blog with is the
beginning - you have got to see all the wonderful talent!!!

The terrorist attack against our nation, which happened a decade ago, is a long time for some.  However for many, the day feels all too close. The deeply seared memories of the human sufferings and acts of heroism, which took place on that day, changed our nation.

The nation was in shock when terrorists decided to hijack our airplanes and turn them into weapons.  It was beyond anyone’s belief that something so horrific could happen on our own soil.  It would be one thing if it were just the destruction of the Twin Towers or damage to the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville, PA, but almost 3,000 people perished, from the attack, leaving a scar on the sole of America.

Americans came together as one, in the emotional aftermath of 9-11. We were united by grief, had compassion for those who died along with their families, and showed loyalty to our country.

Please join the country in a moment of silence on Sunday morning, at 8:46 (Eastern Time). This should be a time to reflect on what we all lost, as well as on the courage and common purpose that lived and still resides, deep within the American people.

10 of us blogging friends would like you to join in this day of remembrance, by stopping by each blog to see a project made for the tenth anniversary of 9-11.

If you get lost along the way, here is the lineup:

The project was made using Digital Scrapbook Artist 2 software and free page kits - review is done on the reviews page if you are interested in it!  I love the look and feel of the software, you are sure to love it as well!  Check out their newer version - which also does cards!!!

For my blog candy - you will get this same album - the first two pages (and any other spot where I talk about me) will be changed to YOUR thoughts and feelings for this day - so the
album will truly be something you can know is your thoughts and feelings!  I am sending mine to Shutterfly - sign up for a free account from them, and they will send you a newsletter with fun specials on!  Bind this album for less than $20 for the 20 page album!!

I hope you have enjoyed the ideas we have shown you today!  I know for me, I enjoyed making the album and sharing it with you!

    Good Morning,
Your layout is awesome and a wonderful keepsake for you family. I have Shutterfly in the past to make photobooks. I like their work. Just a word of caution, check to see if they'll let you print some of the pictures. Some of the pictures that Walmart refused to let me have because of copyright laws, even though they were for personal use, are some of the same you used. I was told if I printed them out at home it was okay but their business couldn't reprint and give them to me.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful layout. Jearise in http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com/

  12. Dear Lynda,

What an amazing job you have done at commemorating this day with a historical record and keepsake. Great idea! I am honored to be a part of this Blog Hop today. It is only by the grace of God that I held it together in front of my first grade class that fateful day. Thank you for sharing your remembrance piece.

  13. Lynda, first let me thank you for being in my hop. You did a wonderful job on your project. I have never used a digital program yet, so it was interesting to see what you made with it. Binding this all into a book is a great idea. If you are unable to get them to print this for you, you could print it out and then go to the office store and see if you can have it bound. I like the idea of putting in your "where you were" pages. People will never forget where they were or what they were doing that morning. tfs Tami

  30. What an amazing book! I like your reference to those who have lost their lives fighting this war on freedom. We lost so much that day (and continue to do so), but we also have gained some since then.

This 10 year anniversary has hit me way harder than I thought it would......
