Altered notebook blog hop

If you are here for the Altered Notebook blog hop, you are totally in the right place!!!  Thank you so much for coming to see what we have all been up to - I hope you like my creation, and the other notebooks that are being shared!!!!  Altered notebooks can be made in just about any color, theme, paper, and embellishment attached to it, depending on how you want the item to end up looking!  Make one to plan your Christmas things this year - from the cooking and baking, to the shopping and making!!!  Grab another one for your birthday's and anniversaries...or just make a few to give out as presents to that special someone!!!

If you are just coming upon my blog, please go back to the beginning of the hop at Joy's blog - and start out at the beginning!!!

Joy - http://www.joyslife.com/  The beginning...
Lynda - http://memoriesintyme.blogspot.com/  You are HERE.....
Margie - http://bellabugcreations.blogspot.com/  You go here NEXT.....

Supplies list:
Composition notebook
2 sheets of 12 x 12 paper/cardstock
2 sheets of coordinating 8.5 x 11 paper
Glue stick, adhesives, or hot glue gun

Misc. ribbon, buttons, or charms to decorate

Directions:
Step one:  Decide what papers and colors you will be using for the project, gather them.

Step two:  Cut one of the sheets of paper in half to create 2 6 x 12 sheets of paper.  This will go on the front and back cover.  Cut another piece in the same manor - this will go on the spine.
Step three:  Start to add a piece of paper to the front and back to cover the spine.  your adhesive, glue the paper down to the notebook.  On the bottom and top portion you will want to to cut a small portion out to allow the paper to be tucked under and glued as well.
Step four:  Taking the papers you cut in half, add one to the top of the notebook and another one to the bottom of the notebook.  You will want to fold the extra portion underneath and then glue down.   and then add a piece of cardstock to the underside of the notebook.
Step five:  For the front cover, if you are going to add any kind of ribbon to the top, you will want to add it now, before you add the cardstock to the underside of the notebook.  Make sure to use good adhesive such as a glue gun!!!
Step six:  Take the 2 sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper, and glue to the inside cover (trimming if necessary), and again to the back cover.
Step seven:  For the final touch, finish decorating the front of the notebook as you would want to - with buttons, rub-on's, alphabet stickers, or whatever you would want to!

This same type of altered effect can also be used on a smaller type of notebook, by simply adding a few magnets to the back in order to be attached to the fridge!!!   Now, make sure you go off and check out Margie's blog which is next...or go back to the beginning which is Joy's blog!!!

Like with most of my blog hops, I am giving away an altered notebook - customized to the winner's choosing!!!!!  To be eligible - you must.....

1.  Be a follower of mine here on my blog!!!!
2.  Leave a comment!!!

Winner will be chosen from all the comments that are left!!!  I hope you enjoy my ideas... and that you come back to visit me often!!!
