With today's layout, I'm going to start with the particulars first - then the story behind the layout! I feel the story behind the layouts are sometimes more important than the layouts themselves, but that is just my own personal opinion! For me, I really like working with Lisa's designs as they are so versatile, and can be used in so many different ways! After this project, I have a fun card planned with the pieces you will find here - being able to customize it to the school colors for the recipient - and maybe even adding a few thank you cards for the person to send out as well!!! Plus I can use the full sized patterns for paper piecing a fun framed page when I actually get the prints for this wonderful day! With this particular piece, I used 2 different patterns, both listed below:

Font for the names and date of their graduation
I will end this part by saying to you - that if you do paper scrapbooks traditionally - you really want to do at least 1 digital project...and if you do all digital projects, you really want to do at least one paper project in your lifetime. You might not do another one, but at least you can say "you did it". I started with paper, and now love digital projects as you can tell!
The story behind the layout... My husband (the one on the far left) was taken out of work 10 years ago due to a disability. He was told either he had to quit work or he was going to die. Then a year ago, I ended up getting really sick - to the point I am where Del was at 10 years ago. He has had time to heal, time to rehabilitate himself, time to work through a few issues and learn to do something else. The guy in the middle of the picture - is my son Ryan...who had no idea what a wrench was, let alone a car engine let me tell you! He is getting finished up with his last phase, and on to his own life - with a solid foundation of where he is and where he is wanting to go. I am so proud of both of them, and can't wait to see how far they are in just one years time!
I hope you like the project...as well as the reason behind the project! I can't wait to show you next week's project I am working on!!!
Thanks for stopping by,
