Welcome to the Celebrate mother's blog hop!!! If you are hopping along with us, then you should be at the very beginning! We don't want you to miss out on all the great projects you will see about mothers today! Welcome back to our blog hops - only this time, you will see things a bit smaller, and with my cohort Deborah (who you will see next) and I taking turns each month! We are excited to bring back the hops - so lets get started!!!!
Mothers - we all have one...or are one - they are a necessary part of our existence - and today, we celebrate THEM! We have our own mom's, our mother-in-law's, step-mom's, surrogate mom's, our sister's who turn in to a mother figure, Aunt's, Grandma's..... People who are in our lives that help us to become the women we are today - this blog hop is all in celebration of each and every one of them!!!
I am working on a mini album...my thoughts of being a mom when each of my kids were born, and then my thoughts now with being a mom to 3 - and blending 5 more! I have failed miserably at being a mother, of which I am sorry for - NOW..... I never should have brought them in to a world where their own mother didn't know how to BE a mom... However - that goes in to the next part of being a mom... This is my two sisters and my mom... Mom is in the middle - Deb on the left and Allison on the right. Mom had cervical cancer when I was just 8 months old - and Deb, being 10 years older than me -stepped up and took care of me when my mom couldn't. Allison was born without hip sockets - and had multiple problems when she was little, but the dancing helped that out. Being born 5 years later than Allison was - I was more alone than anything...so we haven't been really close until 2 years ago that is - when we both decided to put our differences aside and get along! Now, I can't wait until I see her and get to spend time with her - even if it is just on the phone!
My project - will be printed out and framed...to go in my scrapbook area! I love doing digital projects where you can do different things to them...either printing out for a frame - or for an album! Or better yet, used on your computer's background to be able to see every day! I started with the software by Craft Artist - if you need an awesome FREE version - check out the Products and Reviews tab for a link to download one! Their kits are awesome too! I used their "Mothers Day" file and software to complete the layout... and then added my own words to the top! I really like their frames - as it fits the photos in perfectly! The flower embellishments fit the layout perfectly!
