Welcome to the Back To School Blog Hop!!
We're so happy you could join us for this super-fun hop showcasing cards, layouts and projects for Back To School!! You'll find an array of ideas throughout the hop -- From teacher gifts to lunchbox notes, we hope you'll enjoy each and every project along the way!! Class is about ready to start!!! Several stops along the way will be offering some nifty prizes, so please be sure to keep an eye our for that!!! You are at the beginning of the hop, so thank you for stopping by an let's get started!!!
Scraps of paper |
For the hop today, I've created a simple bookmark! With reading being the number one thing your kids will do in school, from text books to basic reading books, making bookmarks in their favorite colors are sure to be a huge hit...AND if you use up your scraps from other projects, then the cost factor associated to this is almost nothing!!
Scraps of paper
Punches, die cuts or stamps
Ribbon
Hole punch
Directions:
Directions:
Step one: Find a scrap piece that is at least 2.5 x 5.5, or cut a piece of cardstock to that size.
Step two: Look at the accent colors you can use to go with the bookmark, and matt it on the top.
Step three: Using your hole punch, punch a hole at the top for the ribbons to go through.
Step four: Decorate the top with punches, die cuts, stickers or stamps as you would like.
Step five: Add your ribbon to the top of the bookmark for the tassel.
Easy enough project that won't break the bank...great to start making them for things like Halloween parties, or reading parties at the kids' school, or other type of fun school events...you can even add a bookmark to a book for a gift for someone. Make a few while you have your other supplies out...instead of waiting until you "need one"! This way - when you need a small little gift, you have one around for someone!
