Layout for Big Picture Scrapbooking class I took |
This software is not hard to use or learn, very user friendly in fact! If you are already familiar with any kind of digital software, then you shouldn't have too much of a problem. However, it might take you a few days of playing with the software to get used to it's features. If you go to Youtube you will find plenty of tutorials if you need a bit of help in learning how to work it all! My favorite thing about this software is the fact you can get inspiration at one moment, and then go in and create the layout without having to get any supplies out! If the background paper doesn't match or look good, it's really easy to change, without having to "unglue" something - which is too hard to do!!!
As you open up the software, the first option you will get is to create an album from a template, create your own, or browse online - I chose the create your own option - which brought me into another area where I was able to choose what type of layout I wanted. You will then go in and name your album, and pick the options that are best for you! If you are working on an ongoing project, then you want to make sure to name it something you can remember easily! There will be a picture on he bottom that you can click on, and go directly to that set of files!
On the right side of the software will be the options you have available to you in the control panel. Start with the background paper, and then you can go to the left side of the software - there is a little button underneath resource gallery that says photo layouts gallery (3rd button from right hand side of the icons) where you can look at the different layouts you can add to your creation depending on the number of photos you are planning on using. There are tons of different styles - some with multiple photos - others just one, depending on what you have in mind for your project. If you need to add another layout to your creation, simply right click on the bottom bar right after the last page you have done, and insert layout!
If you are a tried and true paper scrapbooker, you will love getting this software, even if you just try the free kits that are available to you for now! Looking at the web site there are plenty of kits I have got to have, and the price is perfect! I know for me, I love picking up my supplies and playing with paper...but I also love making digital albums now as well! The layouts I am sharing here - are all done with the software and kits from My Memories Suite v2...and to tell you I give them 10 stars, or 10 thumbs up is an understatement!!! I love it!!!

This software looks like it is so easy to use. I love all the kits, but I love the Cherish page the most. Is it Mac compatible? I'm your newest follower and the first to comment today! Thanks for sharing this software. I will look into it.
ReplyDeleteI love all the kits, but the Cherish page is my most favorite. Everyone has moments to treasure, so this one is my favorite. This software looks like it is easy and fun to use. Do you know if it is Mac compatible? I loved your review. I will be looking into this software soon!
ReplyDeleteI love all the kits; its difficult to pick just one.
ReplyDeleteI have not started digital scrapbooking because I feel so overwhelmed. And I love the feel of traditional scrapbooking. Maybe this will be the door to start a new path.
I do follow your blog via Blogger and via Facebook.
ReplyDeleteI also am a follower via Twitter.
This looks very easy and fun! I am always reluctant to do traditional scrapbooking because it never turns out like I really want it to. But I love to work with digital formats, so this should work really well with what I like and feel comfortable with! I liked all the kits, but the Time to Play Quick Pages seems the most appealing to me today.
ReplyDeleteOh silly me, I left two comments on your facebook wall without thinking. I had a headache when I left the second one so I'm using that is my excuse. I have checked out their site and signed up for the My memories blog and on facebook. I have a twitter account but haven't used it in so long that I don't even know my password anymore so I didn't go that route. They have so many downloadable files for the photobook that I couldn't make up my mind so all them would work for me. lol
ReplyDeleteI'm back again...Was I suppose to do separate messages for each thing I signed up for? I noticed others have left more than one.
ReplyDeleteNew follower. Software looks pretty cool!
