This layout represented a time in my life where I was truly happy - a place that I loved to live... my favorite you might say, thus the title. There are times where, when I scrapbook, it starts with the title, or the picture, or the papers that I use first...before anything else. Then the entire layout just comes out, as if by magic at times!!! My projects are often-times designed in my head - thinking constantly about how I want the project to look, or writing down specific things in relation to the item I am working on. Sometimes my projects take off in a direction I never thought about, but it turns out good anyway...
My favorite color is pink, this was my favorite time in my life (until recently anyway), and my daughter and her blessing dress that my mom made. Your challenge for the weekend - is to find your favorite photo of yourself, and make a layout of it... Life changes at the drop of a hat, where you might be really sad at one point in your life, you might have everything you want when you turn around another time. Take time to reflect on the favorite times in your life, and document them... It doesn't have to be a huge thing, I added a few strips of paper and that's about it to mine...but I sure can reflect back at that time period, where life for me was not as stressful as it is now...I hadn't begun to loose things in my life, so things for me were good...I had a husband, and 2 wonderful kids - life was just complete.....at the time!
Now I look back at that time, and realize though - at the time of me scrapbooking that picture - it WAS my favorite time, the favorite way I looked, my favorite dress my mom made...My favorites... As I grow older, I have "other" favorites.....which will be documented in a mini album...that way I don't have to just have it on one layout for one time period...I can have something for my entire life...my favorite food when I was a kid - my favorite time period as a child, my favorite family activity...the list can go on and on!
So - the challenge...My Favorite's...either use the title, or use something YOU have created before to expand on and make a mini album out of. I will be sharing my project by the end of the month...I hope you share with me what YOU have made as well! Now, remember...I am picking out one lucky person from a random drawing from all the comments made through out the month! Thank you for making Memories in Tyme what it is today!
