My sister Allison and I have really not gotten along very well much of our lives...why, I have no idea...we are both totally alike, and yet we have our own way about us. We are not two-faced...what you see is what you get with us...it's right in front of you and we will not hesitate to stick up for ourselves, or put you right back in your place if you need it... Yet now, her and Grant are my biggest cheerleaders...and they have my back, something I never thought we could have!!!
With Allison's birthday on the 12th, I have been sharing what she is getting for her special day - todays project is an absolutely fun project - a framed page... Now, Allison and Grant were married before, each having children... Ally has 3 boys, Grant has a daughter...but to them, THEY have 4 kids...it doesn't matter whose mom it is, whose dad it is...THEY have 4 kids. I totally love how they have been able to do this, as Del and I have 8 kids together, yet most of the kids either hate me...or they hate him...we will never have what they have, and THAT is what I want so bad... So, I live vicariously through Allison, and dream for one day that might be me and my family!!!!! Now, your lineup for the day is:

I hope you go check them out, and see all the fun projects we are sharing this week!!! Barbara's birthday is tomorrow, and my husbands daughter Cheryl's is on Sunday - so this week is in celebration of them as well... Happy Birthday both of you!!! So, the idea for the day is this darling one of a kind framed page!!!
Supplies needed:
Background paper for the base
Cardstock for the frame (2 sheets different colors)
White cardstock
Striped cardstock
Silver brads
Houses cut out of the paper
Alphabet rub-on's
3d Glue Dots adhesive
Scalloped scissors
Ruler
Photo stamp
Directions:
Step one: Where the photo matt will go, cut out the houses underneath.
Step two: Matt the place where the photo will go, putting 2 brads on the bottom of the matt. If you have a stamp, add that to the middle, but that is not necessary!
Step three: Cut out and matt the houses individually to go across the bottom of the page. I matted in purple first, then the pink. Using the 3D adhesive, start to add those to the bottom of the creation.
Step three: For the roof - take the white paper and cut it about 4" and then 1" off the side. Take your ruler, and cut a V in the paper off each side, to create the roof. For the white layer, take your scallop scissors and cut across the edge. Put your striped paper on top cutting the edge where it needs to, fasten down with adhesive.
Step four: Take your alphabet rub-on's and start to create the title to the roof. When you are adding this piece, do not put the adhesive on the place where the photo goes, but make sure you put the roof enough over the edge to allow the recipient to put the photo underneath it!

This type of framed page can be recreated using any type of paper, title and embellishments you can find... I love my sister...and am having so much fun in our conversations, and the things she mentions sometimes...in passing about someone else...how it has helped me to change that behavior in myself. I can only hope she understands how far she has helped me to come...but when you didn't care about your own life...let alone anyone elses, and had NO support system to deal with the various things for as long as you did...well, in my own defense...I think I did pretty good under the circumstances!
Recently, I did my Christmas in July blog hop, and the winner of my $25 gift card is Judy - Judy...I thank you for being a follower, and you watch your email today!!! Your comments are always appreciated!!! Thank you for visiting, now make sure you go see what Anita has been up to!!!
