Easter.....what a fun time of year, spring is starting - there is just a breath of fresh air, and things are starting to turn green and pretty! To me, Easter starts the time when you spend a lot of time outside or with families! This is a very easy project you can do before then - adding your pictures to it, and a bit of journaling about the event itself! Or make a few for your family members, for them to put photos in as well, this way everyone starts to showcase fun times in their families lives - even if they don't scrapbook themselves.

Directions:
Step one: Take the 12 x 12 paper, cut each sheet in half, and then in half again to create 4 6 x 6 sheets of paper. If you are using 5 different colors/patterned papers, put the papers each in a pile so you will have 5 piles with 4 sheets each pile. Grab 2 from each pile - the first 2 will be for the front and back cover.
Step two: Using the background paper and the stickers, start to create each of your pages leaving a place for photos and for journaling. The examples shown are just that - examples...it's what you do with what you have that makes the album a one of a kind.
Step three: Using the brads, add them to some of the places where photos will go. If you want to use markers, you could put stitch marks where the journaling will go, or customize it somehow with markers.

Step four. In a few areas, add a ribbon bow with a button on it. (I use hot glue for this type of thing.) I used stickers that had quite a few different sizes of stickers that had accents included I could play with, like buttons. Look for any features you can add ribbon, buttons, brads, or anything else to.
Step five: To create the album, take your front cover, and back it up with page 2, using hot glue (or adhesive of your choice) glue each page back to back. Make 3 hole punches in the side for the ribbon to go through to create your book.
Step six: Repeat step five for each of the pages left. By the time you are done, you will have 10 pages.
Step seven: Bind the album with ribbon to match the album you are making.

This basic album can be tweaked for anything, and is a GREAT way to start scrapbooking! I'm designing a Birthday Easter album now...to send to my sister to showcase all the birthdays that are happening right at Easter! It will be a fun way for her to add a few photos, and showcase a fun day celebrated with family! I can't be there, but I can "be there" every day when her friends and family pick the album up and look at the stories behind the photos!
