A kiss to build a dream on...this happens to be one of my favorite layouts that I have done since I started scrapbooking.... This week...it's all about my favorite projects that I have done, my favorite techniques to use, my favorite products I like to scrapbook (and create.....) with, and my favorite blogs and web sites I like to go to!
At the time of making this layout, I wanted to enter it in the Scrapbook Hall of Fame contest which used to be in the Creating Keepsakes Magazine.. However, I had a broken wrist at the time, and I had no clue how I was going to finish up this layout. With it being my left hand that was broke, I could use it to hold things while I cut with my right hand...I learned to use my Coluzzle Alphabet System during this time period getting the submission ready to go. I knew with this layout, I wanted it to be something special...like my relationship with Del is.
Though I didn't win the contest, I at least entered! I normally wouldn't have done that a few years back...so this was an accomplishment for me! What the contest taught me, is to get out of my comfort zone, and truly create for ME.
I used the Quickutz Alphabet system, which is my sisters! I used items that I already had at home, and easy colors, in red, blue and ivory. I used hearts for the main accent, as a way to show our love for each other.
You know, I didn't plan on this man, I didn't want to do it again after the last marriage I had; however, looks like there was other plans for me! This is my third marriage...blending 8 kids with Del has proved to be one interesting thing after another. I will never look at anyone and tell you it is easy, but I will tell you that it can be done... We haven't had it easy at all in our marriage, or relationship...but we made it!
Thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoy your week...and I hope you come back and visit every day this week, for fun projects all week long! It's my favorites week!
