There are some people that are in my life for a reason...Kris is one of those people. For me, I wanted to showcase how special our friendship was, and how much fun I had when we were goofing off or working at the Golden Corral - before we went and dragged State Street that night after we were done! When it came to the things I did not have pictures for but wanted to still showcase, I used journaling...little tidbits of things that we did... With Kris, it was all about TROUBLE let me tell you!

Mini albums such as these can be made with what supplies you have at home...or with left overs from other projects you might be making. I used up photos of fun times and events that Kris and went to and had! I didn't want to just make a 2 page spread to be put in my family album...my friendship with Kris needed something a bit different...something "special". Kris went on to have a life of her own...finding each other through her sister through the ever so wonderful Facebook about a year or so ago! I love being able to keep track of her life, and be a small part of it - 600 miles away! I am proud to call her my "friend".....!

Supplies needed:
Various stamps - Alpha stamps
Main stamp for the front cover
Accent stamps
Various "saying" stamps
Cardstock - 20 pages 6 x 6 size for the base
8-10 white sheets for the bases to decorate on8-10 colored papers to decorate with
Black fine tip marker (from toolbox pencil, eraser and ruler)
Your choice of painting type supplies such as markers, colored pencils, chalks, etc. (My favorite item to use with stamping is Radiant Pearls paint....not available anymore) Embellishments such as stickers, die cuts, page kits, swap items, or whatever you have available at home.
**Tip**Feel free to use a 12 x 12 kit that you might have bought, in place of the supply list. This usually will give you enough background papers and embellishments to finish up the project.

Hints and tips:
*As you are planning your album out, first decide the theme of the album, and ultimately deciding on the pictures you want to use.
*Look at scraps from other projects in order to save money on the project. The reason behind the project in the first place should be the photos and journaling, not the supplies you use.

*If you are new at scrapbooking, instead of using stamps....find a page kit that includes cardstock, alpha stickers, themed stickers, and die cuts that all match instead. This way, you can finish up a project in a day, instead of an album in a year!
*Gather up everything you can find for the theme of the project and the colors you have selected to go with it. Keep it in one place to make it easier to create each page and the album itself.

*Plan your album out on paper before sitting down to create anything. This way, as you look at the supplies you have, you can tweak things, make a shopping list, or plan things out in your head more.

*As you look at ideas, look at placement of items and how things are done before you look at that exact idea. I have gotten many basic ideas from pages I would never make myself! Also keep in mind, I have different supplies than you might have, look at what YOU have, and what YOU need...not my exact idea!
We all have those friends that have helped...whether they know it or not! Kris taught me to get into a bit of trouble, and you know...mom didn't find out! Not about us dragging State Street...or the parties....or about Snowbird in Utah... Wow, what a fun time! Would I go back and do it again, probably...I'd do it different for sure, but I would go back! I hope that through this idea you think of 1 person you want to do a layout about...but there's just too many pictures maybe...do it instead as a mini album, and showcase MORE from your friendship!
