Making memories this summer...OUTSIDE!!!!!

Memories in Tyme is all about your scrapbooking your memories, but this time, it's all about CREATING THEM!   I stumbled upon Pier 1 as I was looking for fun colors to scrapbook with, little did I know this would get me so much more!!!!  This fun site had me spending hours planning out how I want to make my patio area at my house into something beautiful! 

My husband and I moved to Colorado about 3.5 years ago from Utah.  We left in a trailer and our F150 - so we are still trying to purchase things that we need to that was old and left behind!    Pier 1 has it so that some of the furniture we found can be used both indoors or outside, so when you are tired of something in one area, you could move it to another place in your home to create a "different look" to it!   It's all about saving money, even if you have to spend a bit to save it!   Same thing with your scrapbook pages, you know I'm all for saving money!!! 

One thing I never thought about doing is putting a Papasan chair outside, but these guys have made it so that it looks and feels good!   If you have one already, but you need to update it, check out their wonderful pads to go in the chairs, to update them a bit.  They also have pads that go on chairs if you already have them but need to update the colors a bit.   I have totally fallen in love with their Whimsical Garden cushions, and can picture using that design on 4 chairs, with fun colors for the placemats and accent pieces.   I can also picture that fun fabric into a scrapbook mini album, I'll be sure to play and share with you!     

Not only did I not think about a regular Papasan chair being outside, but I also had never thought about a hanging or swinging Papasan chair.  They have one that is just to die for...  This little beauty is going to go in the corner of my patio, and in the wintertime, it will go in my bedroom.  I love things that go well with other things, and that piece can go just about anywhere.   I want a piece where I can read, or just sit and look at a magazine, while drinking a cup of coffee or iced tea! 

Pillows and rugs in matching colors also make it so that you can interchange them, and make a nice cozy seating area outside.  Or, you could have a few different colors matched with a patterned fabric to really play things up!  For me, it is important to have places to sit that is comfortable, so during the warm days, I can go outside and study, or scrapbook, or spend time taking photos of the family and the cats!  

Creating memories is fun, just make sure you take a few pictures to scrapbook when you are done!!!!  It's not just about the scrapbook pages, it's about making and capturing the memories you do make!  Pier 1 Imports is a great place to start to create t hose memories!  The items they carry can be very cost effective, by moving them to different rooms to use them ways.
