Friendship...something each of us has had in our lives, friends that mean more to us than anything... I have a friend like that, someone who helped me get through a few things, was my confidant, and helped get me into trouble...let me tell you! Kris and I worked at the Golden Corral as waitresses...and then ended up to be good friends! State Street just was not the same if I was not with her.....
In this example, I used a Close to My Heart stamp for the saying and the flowers, embossed in fine black embossing powder. I then used Radiant Pearls paint to paint the hearts and flowers in, again embossing the entire creation with clear embossing powder to make it all pop. The creation was layered with 2 different colors that match the rest of the album, and attached with a brad. Use a saying stamp for a background repeating it across the entire page. I also used a Close to My Heart alpha set to create sections in my album, which helped to showcase each set of pictures. I also used the same embossing technique as I did with the title on the section pages to tie it all in together.
Stamping with embossing is a lot of fun, being able to get different colored powder to go with your creations, or making your own out of different colors you already have! Times change, products come and go...make sure that when you find things, you are able to go back and find them again. It is rather hard when you find a product you love, and then you can't find that same thing years later! You then have to learn to use other things, you then find OTHER new favorites to use!
I hope you've enjoyed this week of Stamping, I know I love using my stamping products along with my scrapbooking albums! I hope you find a lot of fun stamps that you are attracted to...start your collection, but remember...you really DON'T need every stamp out there on the market today! Find some you like and start from there!
