Now for my fun idea!
When my kids were younger, Halloween was a fun event for us - spending the time going trick or treating through the neighborhood. This Halloween was an especially hard one for me, my ex-husband had committed suicide 3 days after my birthday in August of this year. I really don't remember Halloween, or the rest of the year really...it was way too hard on me emotionally! The layout was very therapeutic though, helping me to see what all I have accomplished from this time period!
I used a simple sticker set that coordinated together, added fun Halloween colors and a bit of Lynda's style and there she went! I created a border down the side for the title, and matted the picture with the black and orange patterned paper. I used my Sizzix frame die cut with the wavy frame on top for the main picture on the right side, and matted one of the stickers to create a unique look.
Thank you so much for visiting this hop - I am so glad you are here! Next up on your hop is Carol, so make sure you go see what she has been up to!!! Thanks for joining us, have an awesome day!

Memories in Tyme
Ooooh, I am SO sorry for the loss of your ex-husband that year (1999). What a tragic thing, and unfortunately, so selfish no matter the circumstances. I am so pleased that you were able to help your children recover from this loss by celebrating Halloween. I can't imagine how difficult that must have been. Your layout is lovely, and what a GOOD memory!

I love this layout. It's very unique and kind of old school, which I love. Great job with it. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to live with that trauma. I'm glad to see you are getting stronger and working on layouts. Scrapbooking can be so therapeutic when suffering a loss or other turmoil. Keep your chin up and know that you have friends out there thinking of you and praying for you, your family and your ex-husband. You are in my heart tonight.
