Christmas reminder post

It's that time again - time to take a look at your Christmas planning!!  You have 2 months from today until Christmas - so you really should start to look at the lists and things you have started already, in order to keep it going!  Taking a bit of time now and plan things out - how many cards you need to send, or how many gifts you need to make or purchase, or even parties you need to go to in order to prepare for gifts for the hostess or cooking something - will only help the stress level THEN!!!   If you go and purchase a bit of extra flour, sugar, and baking goods - your finances are not going to take a huge hit closer to that time!!!

Plus if you take a bit of extra time now to get things made, you can spend Christmas time in enjoying the season instead of making a bunch of stuff or shopping!!  Try to look at each person, and personalize a special gift you make just for them!  It sure helps that stress level at the end of the year, let me tell you!!!

Also start to look at layouts you might do for your photos that you take at Christmas time - look for ideas as you are looking for other ideas - and start to write and sketch them down on paper!  Look for handmade cards you like so you can do the same thing!  Plan a shopping trip to pick up what you need - and get a few things started!!!

The times are really hard right now - money is just not there - so for those gifts for friends and family - make something special for them instead - allowing you to spend the money you need to on your children!  You don't need to spend a ton of money on your gifts - for my sisters birthday, I spent more on the shipping to get it to her house than the gift I made her!  But yet the gift was not just 1 thing, but 3 different things that were made for her!!!

So - your challenge for the month - finalize your gift list, and your cooking list, any schedule time for parties you are going to.  By now, you should have stared your Christmas cards, it's time to get addressing them!  I challenge you to make at least 2 more different sets of cards - 5 each set for your Christmas Card stash!!  Make sure things are added to your calendar - so you don't get overbooked on the events you always go to!  Shop now for things you know you will need or that you can put away - so you can enjoy things more!  Enjoy your month - and we'll see you again next month for another fun reminder!!!
