Card #1 |
Card #2 |
Card base
Scraps of paper
Thanksgiving related stamps
Black embossing ink pad
Black embossing powder
Chalks
Brads
Directions:
Step one: Get your card base, set aside to add each of the steps to it.
Step two: Using the scraps of paper, (starting with the brown), add the top piece to card #2. The leftover piece from the top I used for the middle of card #1. Add to the card base with adhesive.
Step three: Take your pumpkin (or Thanksgiving related stamp) and get it stamped and embossed. Chalk your images.
Step four: Take your chalked image and matt it on a patterned paper. (The scan does not show the colors here as well, but they match better than this actually shows.) Add the image to the card base, adding 4 brads to the corners of the image.
Step five: Take the Happy Thanksgiving stamp and stamp and emboss at the top of the card #2. For card #1, stamp the image and emboss it, matting on the same patterned paper you used. Add this to card #1.
Cards can be made using scraps - or make a series of note-card's for someone for a Christmas present - examples will be shown throughout December for you to make for friends and neighbors this year! Everyone is on a budget this year, so learn to make some of the things you need to for people, instead of wasting money on a present that gets shoved in a closet and never used or enjoyed - give them something they will use, and maybe even the postage to go along with the cards! Keep in mind, if you use card bases that are colored, it is too hard to see a traditional pen, so you might want to look for a silver or white gel pen to add to the package! Tie it up with some nice raffia, and make a cute card to go along with and you are done!
This month will be a lot of fun - bringing you all kinds of ideas for Thanksgiving, and things that you can do for Christmas presents! I hope you check back at the fun projects I am planning on sharing with you - from cards, to layouts, to mini albums, to fun things you can alter for presents! Have an awesome holiday season!
