This is the sketch for the week for Simply52 - my project is a fun Christmas card to put away in my stash to send out to people this year! I am also playing with some fun note-card's out of scraps for this fun sketch, so I hope you come back to see what else I have added to this page!!!!
Supplies needed:
Card base
Christmas theme paper (scraps are perfect)
Scraps of paper
Stamp saying
Red ink pad good for embossing
Embossing powder
Heat gun
Ribbon
Button
Directions:
Step one: Cut the card base for the base of the card.
Step two: Cut two strips of the polka dot paper for the top and side, place down with adhesive of your choice.
Step three: Cut the green Ho Ho paper and add it to the top of the side piece with your adhesive of choice.
Step four: Using your red ink pad, ink the stamp you have chosen, adding the embossing powder to the top of the stamped image. After the image is ready, trim and mat on red paper, using adhesive, add this creation to the top of the card base creation.
Step five: Add a simple red bow and green button to the card base at the top right hand side using hot glue gun or adhesive of your choice.
Use scraps from some of your other projects you are doing - I know for me...I am getting ready to make some fun albums for my family to add their photos to, so I will be making a few fun cards to go along with the things I have made! This sketch will surely be fun to use in some of my other projects! I think with my note-card's, I am going to turn the sketch to it's side, and see what I can create that way!
I hope you enjoy the project today - it's just a sneak peak of some of the fun things I have planned for my 12 days of Christmas blog hop coming up in December! November is huge here on the blog - lots of the giveaways that are still pending will be taken care of, plus all of the classes at Michaels will be added here, and a newsletter starting up for all of my students to enjoy! Make sure you check back for the upcoming changes!
