What I want to do.....mini project idea

Front cover

Back cover
Ok - you have to understand, quite a few years ago, I
would never have shown people what I make...  I didn't have the money everyone else had to be able to spend money on the fun things - such as stickers and die cuts.  I had to create my own kind of thing out of what I had available to me... which happened to be stamps, ribbon, cardstock, paper piecing patterns, and punches!  Now I love to share some of the things I have made - in hopes that others will find some sort of inspiration with what I have done!  Remember, it's not just about the front cover - you have to do something with the back cover as well...with this, I used a simple set of stamps "Designed by" and "Lynda" together on the back.

Supplies needed:
6 x 12 sheet of cardstock or patterned paper for the cover
1 sheet white cardstock - cut in half for the inside
Cardstock for journaling and matting photos
Die cuts - I used hearts, flowers,and 2 tags
Alphabet stamps (or stickers for the title)
Buttons
Ribbon
Marker
Eyelets/brads
Hole punch in circle

Directions:
Step one:  Fold the cover paper in half, set aside.
Step two:  Cut the 12 x 12 sheet of white cardstock in half so you have 2 6 x 12 sheets of paper, again fold those sheets in half - add to the inside of the album.  Using your hole punch - punch a hole through all three sheets - at the top of the page and at the bottom.  I put my hole punch as far as it would go and punched at that spot.
Step three:  Start to journal what you want to say - either using the computer, or your own handwriting.  Cut and matt the journaling as well as the photos.
Step four:  Start to add adhesive to the backs of the matted items, add them to your pages.  I use the inside front cover as well as the inside back cover to be able to utilize each of the pages available.
Step five:  Add the die cuts you have selected to the pages, adding buttons to the middle (or whatever you have/like to use) of the flowers.
Step six:  Using ribbon and floss, thread the ribbon through the 2 holes, leaving plenty of room for a bow.
Step seven:  Add your decorative touch to the back of the album, and create your title using your alphabet stamps.  For this creation - I embossed in fine black detail powder, and then painted with Radiant Pearl paints...then embossing in clear powder to create the look I was searching for.  I created the alphabet letters, painted then embossed them, afterwards, I cut the letters out and then matted on cardstock twice.
Projects like this can always be tweaked to be what you want and need them to be.  From the front title, to the papers you select...use my basic idea and make your own "project"... This type of thing makes it so you can finish up a project in no time - less than a day for the most part!!!  Tweak what you need to/want to - add your journaling and photos, and go from there!
