More monochromatic layouts

Miss Catitude - left side
This is our cat Tygress - fat cat, Miss B...or "Miss Catitude"
as she's known here on this layout!  This was a very easy layout
to do - in a monochromatic pink theme.  Again I used a pack of paper from the Bazzill Basics paper line to use in all pinks!
Bazzill makes it easy to start with just the pack of paper...  I started with the background paper, choosing a darker color out
of the pack.  The lighter pink was used for the border - with a strip of very light pink along the side of that.  For the photos - the main photo on the left side of the layout spread was
matted twice, with a small journaling shape hanging
underneath to talk about Tygress, also matted twice like her photo was!
Miss Catitude - right side
For this layout, the only other color that was used for an accent was silver - which was wrapped around the letters and tag, as well as the color of the ribbon used for the tag and to hang the journaling.  Monochromatic layouts are easy to start with if you are just starting out with scrapbooking - grab packs from Bazzill to make it easy on your crafting.  I used my Sizzix machine to make the cat and the tag die cut, my Coluzzle alpha system for the letters, and my trimmer for the rest of the cutting that needed to be done.  The first part that I trimmed was the borders down the side, with the matting of the photos afterwards to save as much paper as I could.  The rest of the leftover pieces went for other projects - to be shared later on!  Monochromatic layouts are great to start with, and easy to do if you don't have a lot of time to fight getting a layout done!
Monochromatic layouts are not only easy - they are pretty much fool proof if you have a hard time in picking out colors!  I hope you will have fun in doing a layout with just one color!!!!  Later this week - we will work on another type of color scheme from your color wheel, using 2 colors!  More about that later this week!
