Ok - I am a dork...I've had glasses since I was in the second grade...thick ugly glasses. I didn't realize until just a few years ago that I am almost legally blind unless I have my contacts or glasses on, until my eye doctor told me! People who knew me at this time, wouldn't recognize me if they seen me walking down the street - I wear contacts now!
For this layout, I started with the paper...everything else evolved from here. The paper I used was from a pack I received from my kids for Christmas one year! I was so excited to get paper it wasn't funny...I still have quite a bit of it left even after this project! The funny part about the layout - I had broke my glasses and haven't replaced them since...I just ended up with contacts instead so the glass part is actually the "glasses" in the layout! The rims of the glasses were done by tracing the frame on the coordinating paper to make the frame shape.
For the title, I used the Coluzzle Alpha system in pink, layered on the mauve color and then cut out together to create 3 separate words. For the embellishments I used the flowers like the paper had, in order to keep a consistent theme going. My adhesive of choice for this project - Zyron and Glue Dots... The Zyron creates stickers out of paper, and the Glue Dots adhesive is just simply the best for everything else!
For the photos I selected, I looked at different types of photos I had that didn't match or go with anything, and used a variety of photos. I then added my journaling that was created by the computer - made on white, but matted with both colors to create the look and feel I was looking for. Fun layout to recreate, not with your "glasses" but maybe with your old hairstyles, or something else as equally fun! It's about the journaling along with the photos! I hope you enjoy!
