This is one of my favorite layouts of my husband and I...made way before we were even married!  His mom had came down to see us, and ended up taking pictures of us and our kids, 7 of the 8 we had at the time.   I used simple colors, and a simple layout to achieve the look I got!  Lets get started!

Supplies:
Cardstock in blue, red, and ivory
Alphabet letters
Heart punches
Buttons
Gold embellishments
Computer for journaling

Directions:
Step one:  Take the ivory cardstock, start the background, trim the red cardstock by 1" on top and side. Place it on top of the ivory sheet using adhesive.
**Tip**  Since you are not going to see the back of the ivory sheet, trim the inside of the sheet to allow you to use that on other items such as the lettering, etc.
Step two:  Take the blue cardstock, trim it 2.5" to go across the top of the two pages, use adhesive to place this down.
Step three:  Using an alphabet of your choice (this example was done using the Quickutz alphabet system).  Make sure you put adhesive on the back!
**Tip**  Run a sheet of paper through your Xyron machine first to get the adhesive on the back of the paper.
Step four:  Taking the photos, start to matt them on blue cardstock first, then ivory... leaving a bit of extra on the bottom of the matts to put the punch pieces on.
Step five:  Punch the ivory hearts out, using 3 for each of the bottom, place them under the photos such as the examples.  Place red buttons in the middle of the hearts to create a different look.
Step six:  Using the computer, start to type up what you want to.  I used a simple little bit of journaling on page one, with our names on page two.  Print this out, trim to go on the layout.  For the journaling part, use a heart corner punch to create a cute look around the journaling.  Adhere this to the layout.
Step seven:  Take the blue paper with ivory on top, place the embellishments on them, put it down on the paper.  I use a hot glue gun to adhere these type of pieces down, as well as ribbon/buttons on my layouts.  This way, the pieces stay where they need to!

This layout was very easy to do...I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy the meaning behind the layout.  A kiss to build a DREAM on, that is what we have....please recreate it for you and YOUR husband!
