I have had glasses since I was in the second grade...and to tell you that I have hated it, is a complete understatement! Anyone who has glasses can tell you how irritating it is to break them, loose them, or have to wear them in the first place. I found out within the past few years, that I am almost legally blind, which has not been fun to deal with, but makes sense as to how I am with my eyes to this day!!!! Most every picture I have had taken has been with me in my glasses, I have only had a few without them. One day I plopped down on the bed...set down my glasses on the floor beside me, only to get back up to them being broke. Now, my husband hated these things, I looked like a dork in them, so he could care less, but for me...it was not fun at all! Anyone who has known me since I was a little girl has known me with glasses, in fact wouldn't recognize me now if they were walking down the street in front of me!
I say all this...because sometimes your layouts are about YOU as a person, not just you the mom! I chose pictures of me in my glasses, random pictures that didn't mean a whole lot of anything...that I normally wouldn't scrap in the first place. I look back on this layout, and can see the mood I was in just by the papers that I used! One thing I love to do is make my titles out of my Coluzzle alphabet system and then put small punch pieces in them middle of them that match the patterned paper I am using. I am pretty sure I would not find a "My Dorky Glasses" title in the stores anytime soon...this way I create what I need, when I need it, and customize it to what I am doing!
Use whatever alphabet template you have available to you, I happened to like this style, as it is bigger and easier to cut using the craft knife. Any type of template will do the same thing I did here, just look at what you have and adapt! I will be using different types of templates to do different things for the next little while, to show you how fun and easy they are to use!
I hope you enjoy this project...I am working on showing you other stuff you can make with a simple template and your basic supplies!
