More die cuts different ways!

Baby card with balloon die cuts
I like to use die cuts - this is the Sizzix balloon die cut that comes with two balloons on it - the longer one and the more round one.  Die cuts like this are great to use as they can be customized to different projects and things - the baby card could be changed to blue for a boy, or yellows and greens for a baby that has not yet arrived!
You can then take that same die cut and change it to a traditional birthday creation, such as the card that is below!  I also used the same type of papers and things on a gift bag - to keep everything matching and looking good together.  For me, there is nothing worse than presenting something and the items like the gift bag and card don't match...or at least coordinate well together!

Card with balloons and present die cuts
Die cuts like this - whether you get a machine like a Sizzix, or you get an electronic machine - is one of the best investments you can buy for shapes and alphabets alone!  I love the versatility of not only the balloon, but also the presents - such as the one's in the card to the left!  I have used the same present die cut on plenty of other projects such as cards, layouts, Christmas themed projects, birthday cans, and bookmarks to name a few.  The way I see it is this...for every time I use the die cut on a project, I am saving money - and the price of the die cut itself actually has paid for itself.  I can also do more one of a kind projects - and based on the colors of the party to make it truly one of a kind!
By using die cuts on your projects...you save money, you make your projects stand out and be one of a kind.  You can use scraps to save even more money...and learn to share with others - by having a die cut party or something where everyone can use different die cuts to get things done they need to!  I love my machine - and saving money.  It doesn't matter what type of machine you have - I'm still using the same machine I bought 9 years ago, and recently started looking on Craigslist in my area for people who are getting rid of their personal items!  Also check on the Sizzix web site for specials and products they carry!  Down the line, I will start to cover electronic die cut machines a bit more - as I look at different features and things each one does!  A die cut machine of any type is a total necessity - especially if you make crafts!  Enjoy your day, and make sure to check back tomorrow for a great Easter project and blog hop!
