All of the cards I am sharing this week were made with scraps from other projects! I like to have a few card bases around to be able to send out a quick card when I can - instead of spending a bunch of time making them! I had used the Cricut die cut machine to cut out the flowers here - again left over from another project (seen above) as I had cut plenty of flowers out that day!!! With the card to the left, I used a simple monochromatic color scheme in red only! The only accent color was the white in the middle of the flowers and the background of the saying! A red stamp was used, Stampin' Up craft pad - (love them as you can emboss with these as well as basic stamp!
With the card to the left, the same flowers was used as the embellishment - this is a complimentary color scheme, using the green as the main background and the red as the complimentary color! I used white as the accent color - and a simple Happy Birthday stamp at the top. This could be changed to just about anything else I would want if I didn't want to use it as the "birthday" card it is now!
Each of these three projects are totally different - the main project - and then leftovers from that! I added scraps of paper from totally different projects to get these completed. Each of the projects this week have been made with scraps and leftovers from other projects!
Now for the challenge part - if you don't save your scraps, I will challenge you to find a good system and start to save them. I use a simple file folder by color system, kept in an accordion style holder. If you keep scraps already, then I challenge you to look at what you have and make one thing with your scraps and what you have at home! If you love to read books, make a bookmark - or, make a birthday card for an upcoming birthday! I hope you start to enjoy scraps as much as I love to use them - and make sure you share what you have made!
