Ad Challenge Wednesday

Each week, Memories in Tyme will choose an ad to showcase - giving you something "different" for inspiration!  I want you to take an aspect of this ad - and make a layout or card out of it.  You can either choose the placement of the items, or you can use the colors.  For me, I really love the circle at the top left hand side, I can picture a circle with a photo - maybe a bit of journaling in the circle!  I also love the bottom part of the ad - where the blue border is - and then the words on the bottom of that!  Whatever your take is - create a layout and then make sure you share it with me!   Lynda Jeffs Memories in Tyme

Event reminder - December

I t's that time again.....time to look at the upcoming events  you have in your life for the next 6 weeks...    Whether you have birthday's, weddings, showers, or fun fall events planned, grab your calendar and start to look at what you need to make, purchase, send off, or what have you!        Our economy really stinks right now, I've been living it for a long time... and learned a few things along the journey until now.  Take time to look at what you have going on so you can get started on things early - instead of at the last minute...  Start to look at the calendar for things you need to deal with until January 15th!  This way, you can start getting things you need to - put together, in order to get things completed on time!  My main problem in life - (I am so like my mom) - I procrastinate - and pretty soon, what I "wanted" to do - doesn't get done because I didn't spend the time to get things done that I nee...

Christmas reminder post

It's that time again - time to take a look at your Christmas planning!!  You have 1 month from today until Christmas - so you really should start to look at the lists and things you have started already, in order to have enough time to get it all done!  Taking a bit of time now to make the things you need to -  will only help the stress level THEN!!!   If you go and purchase a bit of extra flour, sugar, and baking goods - your finances are not going to take a huge hit closer to that time!!!    Plus if you take a bit of extra time now to get things made, you can spend Christmas time in enjoying the season instead of making a bunch of stuff or shopping!!  Try to look at each person, and personalize a special gift you make just for them!  It sure helps that stress level at the end of the year, let me tell you!!!  Also start to look at layouts you might do for your photos that you take at Christmas time - look for ideas as you are l...

Things I'm Thankful For Blog Hop

Welcome to the Things I'm Thankful For Blog Hop. This blog hop runs from November 18th through November 19th. For a lot of people, Thanksgiving has become a day to watch football, eat turkey, and watch the Macy's Day Parade. While these are not bad things, some believe the most important part of Thanksgiving is giving thanks to God for our many blessings. God was very much a part of that first Thanksgiving. Although some would say it was just a day of celebration. Historical records show it was a time to give thanks to God.The pilgrims looked at everything as a gift from God, even the sorrowful things they saw as God allowing them to perfect their character. So with that being said we have created this "Things I'm Thankful" blog hop to show you some things we are thankful for and some wonderful things we think of when we think of Thanksgiving. We’ve had so much fun creating this hop, and we have a wonderful line up with some oh-so-talented creator...

Simply52 Designers Sketch

I love sketches, and the minute I seen this one from  Simply52 Designers , I knew what I had to do with this one, make note-cards in various themes and colors to use for gifts!  Add in a nice attractive format such as a folder or tied with raffia, and you have an instant gift for someone that might be hard to buy for, or you just need a hostess gift, or maybe a neighbor gift made in a flash!!!!  This sketch will do so much, I can just picture it so many ways, but this was the one that came out the first!!!            Of course the way I am, I end up changing things up a bit, but I absolutely love how the squares looked with the rounded corners.  I used a stamp set from Stampin' Up that is very versatile...I enjoy using things that can be used in other ways, and this one certainly is like that!                                 ...
