It's been a LONG while since I got along with my family - especially my sister Allison.... but that was before, this is NOW! On March 6, 2011, she sent a message to my sister- she wanted contact...what did I do - throw it in their faces and told them to basically - KMA pretty much...until the next day... I woke up - got on Facebook, and got my horoscope for the day from Russell Grant...and that is the day things changed for me, and ultimately for my family. No, I'm still not talking to ALL of them, but I am TALKING instead of yelling, so THAT is a good thing! This album was one made for her for Mothers Day this year - made in her favorite colors - for her to showcase her family - her legacy in!
I have always looked up to Allison, for the way she danced when we were little girls - on her toes just like on the Nutcracker...and then the way she was a mom to her kids. I wanted an album that she could put pictures down and a bit of journaling for each of the people in her family... She's been married twice - her boys are with her first husband, and Grant has a daughter Logan from his previous marriage...but you wouldn't know it to see it let me tell you, to them - they have 4 kids...and it doesn't matter where they all came from!
Supplies needed:
5 sheets 12 x 12 cardstock, cut into 4th's
Cardstock/paper to match the above
Embellishments to match the paper

For the most part - you want to check out this blog post for the basic mini album directions and supply list. Each album is made the same way - except a tweak or two here or there! Check out the individual pictures listed here - for any kind of tips on how to finish up!
For this set of pages, they would be the first two set of pages that come after the front cover. You will notice I used computer generated journaling for the inside front cover, and on the other side, a place to put a picture of her choice on it. The flowers underneath were put on with brads, directly on the paper itself, which you won't see when you attach it to the next set of pages - especially if it is hot glued together.
Since Logan is the oldest "child" between Grant and Allison, she was listed first...with her daughters behind her. On the far left page, you will see a flower, again attached with a brad directly to the paper. Though you can't see it in the example, the white part actually has a hidden part...you can open up the flap and then open it up again to allow for journaling and more photos - whatever she wants to do!
This is Logan's oldest daughter's page - again using the same hidden part where the white is - the total size was 4" x 12" scored every 4" for the flaps, each person has this same feature - to allow for more pictures or whatever! All of the names were printed on cardstock - because of the amount of stickers I would have had to have used up for this - it made more sense to do things this way! Again, 2 flowers on the side of their name connected with brads.
This is Logan's youngest daughter's page - again looking like the others, yet just a little bit different - to let it be all her own! This one has a simple flower on the white area - and plenty of room for photos, journaling - thoughts about being a grandma...the list could go on and on! Each project I do turns out different just because of the supplies I use and the theme of the album.
As you can see with Dustin's album, I did not use a lot of "girlie" things on this page, no flowers, etc... Dustin is all "man" - it was bad enough the boys had to have pink and purple paper - if you know what I mean.....I didn't want to frill their pages up with flowers! The simple swirl at the top was enough, but it wasn't too "frilly" if you understand my meaning!
For the rest of the album - it is laid out the same way. This is the first album I made that had more than 20 pages in it - 24 actually....so each person had their own set of pages - for Allison to document and add to it what she wants. The rest of the pages are shown below - so you can get an idea as to what all you can do with an album such as this!
