So, if you are like me - you run around - picking up presents or cards for those events in your life...normally at the last possible minute! Yet - if you look at it rationally, if you are spending a lot of time doing things at the last minute, you can spend a bit of time planning and making what it is you need - before hand! Whether it is a card, or an entire gift...by spending a little bit of time checking out your calendar for events coming up, might help you to not be so stressed out at the last minute!
At first, this post was once a month - to look at the upcoming events for the month! However, looking at it, you really need to go further out, especially to allow for planning and making the items that needs to be made. Sometimes it takes longer to go purchase everything than it does to make it!
I have a calendar printed out in a binder, whether you use a Day Planner, a sheet of paper, or whatever, start to look at what you need to have to help you organize yourself. In my calendar - I have put the events for that month I need to make, with a high-lighter in various colors to high-light the different things. Whatever works good for you - then do it...even if it is simply using Microsoft Outlook to print out the calendar pages for the year. So, your challenge for the week is to look at the next 6 weeks - which is July 7th - and look at what needs to be done. Make your shopping list, look at what you have at home, and decide a time frame to get things done.
My list includes - Framed pages for Fathers Day for my brothers to include a picture of them and their family on their special day, along with cards. We have 2 birthdays this upcoming month...and then the 4th of July, where cards will be made for those I want to have cards! My list is not large, but it will include a bit of planning to get everything done and in the mail! But that is usually my worse problem.....getting things done as they need to be done! Whether you scrapbook or not - look at the events you have and start to get it done!
