Basic mini album directions

Mini albums are fun to make, and an easy project to do with little supplies.  You can make a 20 page album with 5 12 x 12 pages and embellishments to match.

Supplies needed:
5 12 x 12 paper that coordinate
Paper to match for matting photos
Embellishments to match the theme you are working on
Adhesive for the album, hot glue to bind the album together
Basic tools for scrapbooking - paper trimmer, scissors and hole punch
Ruler and pencil

Directions:
Step one:  Taking the 5 sheets of paper, put them in an order that is pleasing to the eye.  I like to use a patterned paper, then a solid color, patterned paper, solid color, then patterned paper last.  However, this is just ME.
Step two:  Cut the sheets in 4 6 x 6 sheets putting them in the same order that you decided in step one.
Step three:  Take two sheets of paper from each pile, put them in order, repeat until all the paper is gone.  Take one sheet from the top, add it to the back, this will be your back cover.
Step four:  Take the first two sheets of paper, place them back to back so you can see the patterns/colors you have selected.  It will start to look like a book.....  Take your ruler and pencil, mark every 1" going down the side to create the binding.  Repeat until everything is done.
**TIP**  Mark the back of each page with the page number, to make it easier later on.
Step five:  Start to create each individual page, leaving room where the holes are for the binding to go through.
Step six: Take your hot glue gun - start to glue each set of pages back to back, starting with page 1 and 2, move on to 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8, 9 and 10, 11 and 12, 13 and 14, 15 and 16, 17 and 18, ending with pages 19 and 20.
Step seven:  Taking the ribbon and floss you have selected, start to thread each of the holes with ribbon.  Repeat each hole.  Leaving a two finger gap in between, make a knot leaving long enough tails on the end.  Make sure to trim the ends so that everything is at the same length.

This is the basic directions for the mini album I make!  It can be made using a page kit you have bought, maybe adding a few more things to it... or making your own page kit up depending on what type of supplies you have around!
