Basic cards - using scraps of paper from other projects...do you know how many cards I have made and given away that was made just from scraps of paper...too many to count, but this is one of them.  I was working on another project at the time, and kept the scraps from the framed page.  The colors in the blue patterned paper has a bit of brown in it, so that color was used for the accent color.  I used my Sizzix heart die cut -  which is used for many other projects as well - for the only accent, with a simple "Thanks" saying was used, but you could use whatever you have available to you instead!
Check out how versatile this die cut is - with this project again using the same die cut, only cut in a cream color for the Anniversary/Love type of cards that were made here.  Using a die cut with your cards helps to make fun cards that are truly one of a kind.  Most of the things I end up doing are one of a kind because I do use scraps to complete the project!    With both of these cards, I used one set of colors, and then a saying for the top.  A stamp was used for the background with an ink pad to match the off white color that is the main color used through out the project.

No Regrets side 2
You can also see the same die cut used in the above scrapbook layout as well -
No Regrets...  a layout made of things that I do not regret doing...  Some things have pictures, and some just words, but it is all documented - things I just do not regret!

So, you can see that die cuts can be used in different ways - depending on the project you are working on.  Make sure you check out Sizzix.com for their entire selection of products!
