You are at the beginning of this fun hop, so lets get started! For the hop today, I've created a fun layout about a great song by Dierks Bentley called Long Trip Alone! I've been through the wringer in life, and to actually still be here after the things I have been through is amazing! I wish I could explain all of it - but really, it's hard to go back down that road and be THAT person, but here's a brief synopses... and I mean - BRIEF! I had an ex-husband commit suicide 3 days after my birthday on 8/5/99 and then my dad died 5 years to the day later. In between all of this, my husband's ex-wife - adeptly named Hurricane Brandi - swept through our lives to see what she could do to ruin not only our marriage, but also our freedom for things we were not doing. I look back to this time period, and how everyone walked out of my life when I needed them the most. This song became something I truly lived - especially when I needed my kids as much as I did. Going through that horrible time, I gave them a life - and that life was not what I was living... It's a long trip when you do things on your own...it's a long trip when everyone walks away from you...it's a long trip when you have to let those you love more than anything in the world have a life...
So, I talk about this - so you can see others in me! My stress level made it so I have Crohns disease - a horrible autoimmune disease that is knocking my socks off. It's a long trip when you are battling something like this - as well as your past. If you do see someone who is withdrawn, don't talk much to people, and truly just has stopped smiling and laughing - try to do what you can to help them. Sometimes it's not about what you can do - but about what you can listen and help them figure out about their situation that counts. I know for me, if someone would have listened and stood up with us about this situation, we might not be going through the Crohns disease - or the stress level with kids, or the lack of money...

Lynda, I truly am sorry that you have had to deal with so much. I know all of the cliches..What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...He will not allow us to go through more than He knows we can handle..sometimes that is just not enough at the time to fall back on...Just keep yourself facing forward and try not to live to much in the past. For me, If I didn't have God to lean on I am sure I would not get through. I enjoyed your layout..:)
